Transport from Port Everglades

Hi Everyone. In April 2017 we are cruising and when we get back to Port Everglades we will have a couple of days in South Beach. What is the best cost effective way to get ourself quickly from Port to South Beach? Any good shuttle companies that offers this service?

Just a quick look down the board will give you many recommendations for shuttles. Try SAS, QLS, Jiffy Jeff, Go Shuttle, and a couple of others.

 

You will also see Uber and regular taxi. All discussed here daily.

Many of the shuttles listed above will be busy taking passengers from POM to FLL and may not be interested in a South Beach stop. Uber or a taxi are your best bets - cab fare should be about $15-20+ depending upon where you are going in SB.

I would go for the cab or uber. We did this route a couple times and for sure had difficulty finding a shared shuttle willing to do that route. And the one time we did use a shuttle, we had to stop by another ship and locate those passengers and then stopped at 3 other hotels before getting to ours. So if you are interested in quick, skip the shuttle. ( It took us over two and a half hours to get there. But we were the last drop off.)

Parking a rental in South Beach? Just added cost when you can walk everywhere .

Yes. But with heavy traffic and unfamiliar roads it does not work for us.

From port to airport we always use a cab from the wait line, no worries about getting a wifi signal or having problems with cell coverage under a foreign provider/plan. Just a few bucks extra, not worth the hassle. :)

The way I read it the OP is wanting to go from Port Everglades to South Beach, but I'm not sure.

Taxi or private car from Larry's Limos would be about $75-$90. I'm sure Uber would be considerably less.
