RoyalFan2011 Posted November 6, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 6, 2016 I will be on the Brilliance next week in a 2 bedroom suite. I received an email from the Concierge yesterday and I'm looking for some clarification. It says suite guests have a separate section for eating breakfast and lunch at the WJ. Anyone know where that section is? Sent from my iPad using Forums

cammie810 Posted November 6, 2016 #3 Share Posted November 6, 2016 We were in a 2 bedroom suite last year and really enjoyed it. There was a separate breakfast offered in one of the sit down restaurants and a separate seating area in the Windjammer Cafe. We went to the sit down for breakfast one morning and it was ok but not really noticeably better than the main dining room. There was also an area on the deck that was reserved for suite guests so you were guaranteed a deck chair as well as an area in the main showroom. One early afternoon we were invited to a special cocktail party that had samples from all the different specialty restaurants. That was really nice. And we really enjoyed going to the concierge lounge for drinks and appetizers every night. Also, when you are going ashore you can be escorted off by your concierge (which means you cut the line). Those little things all added up made you feel pretty special. The cabin itself was nice in terms of space (having 2 bathrooms for 4 adults was great) but was a little bit run down looking. torpeedo Posted November 6, 2016 #4 Share Posted November 6, 2016 We are at this moment sitting in the CL on the Brilliance. We have a grand suite and received the same letter. I spoke with Raphael and he explained there is a quiet area set aside in the windjammer for gold card holders. It is to the left as you enter. You will get your own food though. A full breakfast is offered in Chops which is delicious. He looks forward to seeing you when you board!

We did not get a letter letting us know we could do sit down in Chops. I found out when I talked to another pax in the CL one morning. Was very good indeed when we did take advantage of that breakfast option. :) Enjoy the rest of your cruise! We are not back on board Brilliance until next year. Take good care of her! :) Edited November 6, 2016 by island lady

Raphael did tell us about Chops and it is one of the best perks! We'll take good care of her for you,! Bob.....you didn't really miss anything. The room isn't really quiet. Many used it to play cards on the TA at lunch time. It's also not exclusive. The sign does say "gold card" but it's a honor system....and we know how that can be. We even saw a waiter bring in a group and when they said "We don't have a Gold Card. Is this just for today?" he said "oh no....you can come in here whenever you want". We did go there a few times for lunch. Much preferred the outside - weather permitting.

Nope, the sign was there for everyone to see. Edited November 6, 2016 by cruisenfever

RoyalFan2011 Posted November 7, 2016 Author #15 Share Posted November 7, 2016 Where are the reserved deck chairs located? We have two sea days so not getting up at the crack of dawn for a chair would be nice. I enjoy getting my own food at the WJ, but hate trying to find a table. Will use Chops for breakfast at least once. Looking forward to getting some sun and relaxing [emoji3] Sent from my iPad using Forums

George C Posted November 7, 2016 #17 Share Posted November 7, 2016 I don't recall any reserved suite deck chairs on Brilliance. As normal you are correct no reserved deck chairs, but concierge lounge was so nice a real bar with about 8 bar stool , also a outside area, great breakfast in chops. Funny thing about reserve area in WJ there was a big sign saying gold card only but several of the non-usa (non english speaking)people just ignored I complained to one officer and he got into a shouting match with one table who refused to move. Ship also had by far best concierge we have ever had bar none, also entire staff in lounge were great.

nolesrule Posted November 7, 2016 #20 Share Posted November 7, 2016 The nice thing about the Gold Card room in the Windjammer was not having to hunt down a table, particularly during lunch on boarding day. We were in the deck 9 aft TS a couple years ago. My review in my sig used to have pictures until Facebook changed the image storage locations. Unfortunately I can't edit the posts to put the images back in.

Brilliance again December 2017. Always loved being able to take our plate from the WJ on Freedom and seating ourselves in Chops also. No sit down service, but still nice and quiet, and they have a self serve beverage set up in there also. Very nice.
BlueSkySailing Posted November 7, 2016 #25 Share Posted November 7, 2016 Thank you, for those. I did see the video and do have a Cruise Deck Plan membership. The one thing I am interested in is, there is a port window on #8668. Just want to know if it's in the master bed or if it is in the living room. There is a drone video of her in Port of Tampa. And the windows are only on 7th and 8th decks.
