Waiting for the rest, Willdra!:) Looking forward to enjoying your take on disembarkation. Also looking forward to cruising on the Magic Jan 21 and treating myself to that yummy looking Hazelnut dessert. Among other things...

"Doing" our first balcony this next trip. Had Ocean Views prior. I avoided choosing a cove balcony, as we thought it would be too close to the H2O. What are your thoughts on a cove balcony vs one higher up?? (or anyone else willing to compare). We DID enjoy being on a lower deck on prior trips, having had decent locations.

Great photos and food porn. I may have to "up" my liquor budget to include a few of those decadent sounding drinks from the Alchemy.

AND, lastly, can't wait to read about your pre-cruise warm-up at WDW. Was F&W still in progress? We can't go to Florida without spending time at our favorite vice.:D But, only 2 days this time, to "wind down" from the cruise. And then back to not-so-tropical Minnesota.

I loved your last review as well as this. we went on the magic last sept and are going again this sept. your review is good timing for us. we live north of Atlanta, so we have the same tolls. we learned you can buy a sun pass for the tolls on the florida turnpike and they are also good for the toll road to port Canaveral. it sure beats looking for all that money and it doesn't seem to be so much.

Love Love Love this review. You have a very entertaining writing style. My family is thinking about booking a Magic cruise next year in December so i'm glad I came upon your review. I now have to go and read your first Magic review. You look great for your age. I turned your age (47) on your husbands birthday (Oct 13th).

Debarkation Day

No matter how much we resisted it the day arrived for them to kick us off of the Magic. Evicted. Booted out! No Bueno!

I set my alarm for 6:45 so that we could get up, collect the liquor and get going. This also gave us "wake up" time because we are not fast risers. Remember?

After moving about the cabin like zombies for a few minutes, we showered then W went to collect our packages. We kept 2 suitcases in the cabin so that we would have plenty of space to throw our crap in. Liquor collection was really quick so we threw everything together and waited. We never heard Rev. Dr. E. say Zone 1 until around 8:30. I think they called it earlier, we just didn't hear it in the cabin. I will put that into my comments when I receive the survey. It’s ok to make cabin announcements on debarkation day people. We know we have to go! We just don't want to!

Bye Bye 2252!!

As expected Deck 3 looked like an episode of “The Walking Dead” with people standing and milling around not wanting to go too far away from the exits. Even with that it only took us about 7 minutes to exit and get through Customs. Now here's where it can get a little confusing because pretty much everything to the right when you exit is either Radisson or Port Canaveral Parking. There were hundreds of people just standing everywhere waiting for the shuttles. After we were pointed in the right direction, we got in line and boarded the next shuttle that arrived maybe 15 minutes later.

Since our daughter’s birthday is Nov 2, we decided to make the detour back over to Disney Springs to get her the wine that she so desperately wanted. Who knows, maybe it really could shape her eyebrows and wash her car after all. You don’t have to tell us, we already know that we are awesome parents! Taking a short bow and curtsy!

I was actually thinking it wouldn't be that crowded on a Saturday morning because most people would be at a Disney Park. Wrong! It was a zoo! We parked on the 4th level up of the garage then joined the massive buffalo stampede over to the shops. Thank goodness we already knew where we had to go! I got the wine and other items pretty quickly. I walked up to the register and the Cast Member started looking at my paper “shady” Drivers License like it contained malaria, small pox, polio, and the zika virus! She then says she’s never seen one before and asks another Cast Member if she could take it for my wine purchase. The other lady says “no”. Hmmmmm. OK, remain calm, don’t go Incredible Hulk on her just yet. Give them a minute to figure it out......The first Cast Member decided to call “someone” and they told her that she could use my paper license because it was legit. Whew, that was a close call. I'm glad that I took my chill pill that morning!

W was not in the store with me as he was making purchases elsewhere. How convenient. Once he met up with me, I told him what happened. He then said it was my fault for looking so young! Ok then, I’ll OWN that one!

Even after the “detour” we were at home by 6pm. Another very successful Carnival Cruise in the bucket!

One of my favorite things is seeing this guy when I get home!

I just finished reading your review and LOVED it! I love the way you write with humor and your pictures are gorgeous. We were on Glory in 2010 and are very partial to her, so happy to see her in three of the ports with you and the pictures you got of her at night leaving St. Thomas are just beautiful. Thank you for taking the time to share your review of your cruise. :)
