martinchem Posted November 16, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 16, 2016 We are leaving in three weeks on the Jade. Can I show my edocs from my tablet/device or does Norwegian still require a printed doc. Carnival does allow paperless docs now, I don't know about the other cruise lines policy. packer99 Posted November 16, 2016 #2 Share Posted November 16, 2016 Personally, I still carry hard copies of everything when I travel even if I can use my phone or other device. You just never know when you will need them.
FranknBeans Posted November 16, 2016 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2016 Why don't you just call NCL.
roger001 Posted November 16, 2016 #4 Share Posted November 16, 2016 I don't think the NCL check in counter cares. However, the port guard checking you into the terminal building, requiring the edoc to be shown, might not be confused....although I'm sure the use of electronic everything is going to be the future there also. luckyinpa Posted November 16, 2016 #5 Share Posted November 16, 2016 i believe paper is safest. in the event of either side having electronic failure, paper would be golden. it doesnt weight much and you can stick it in a pocket so id bring the boarding pass for sure
nancydow Posted November 16, 2016 #6 Share Posted November 16, 2016 I have just used my passport for my last four cruises - no printed paper. But it is a good idea to print your amenities as sometimes those need to be proved. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Rare BirdTravels Posted November 17, 2016 #9 Share Posted November 17, 2016 Print the first page which is called "GUEST TICKET CONTRACT TO BE PRESENTED FOR PASSAGE". Because it is your ticket. Required to be presented. For passage. It will be easier to get through the guard at the entrance to the terminal.
don't-use-real-name Posted November 17, 2016 #10 Share Posted November 17, 2016 Print the first page which is called "GUEST TICKET CONTRACT TO BE PRESENTED FOR PASSAGE". Because it is your ticket. Required to be presented. For passage. It will be easier to get through the guard at the entrance to the terminal. Adding a note here the first front page has a BAR CODE that when scanned reveals all the data of the reservation and amenities. I don't think that NCL has got to the point of using the APT bar code on a cell phone like the airlines do for a boarding pass - but what do I know I am still waiting for the slow-boat from Yokohama to transfer my data to the Pony Express to tell Paul Revere what ship I am boarding at Boston - Ah "one if by land - two if by sea" ! LOL !
zqvol Posted November 17, 2016 #11 Share Posted November 17, 2016 Electronic copies of everything is fine. it is much safer than paper and will not cause any issues at all.
