Rare scubacruiserx2 Posted January 2, 2017 Author #180 Share Posted January 2, 2017 Even our dive shop had a restaurant above it - The Lobster Pot You may see many white numbered balls floating in the water . These are dive sites that the dive boats tie up to . The crew of our dive boat loaded our tanks and gear into their boat and we left our flip flops and sandals on the pier , boarded , and were off

Rare perfect match Posted January 3, 2017 #184 Share Posted January 3, 2017 I know that dive shop! It is the one I have used for most of my dives in Grand Cayman. I have loved all of the dives I have done with them. Glad I will finally be getting back there later this year.

You said that were considering a new dive camera . Would you consider adopting a Sealife DC 1200 ?
Rare scubacruiserx2 Posted January 3, 2017 Author #188 Share Posted January 3, 2017 One couple from the cruise had to cancel the dive so we were down to 4 divers ready to go on a warm and calm day . We had a fast boat and the Captain took us to his favorite dive site the Orange Canyon at the far end of 7 mile Beach . He then gave us a briefing before we geared up and descended into the briny depths . The deep wall was in excellent shape but I had some camera malfunctions in lighting and so a lot of the color was lost . Here's some Gorgonian similar to a coral about 90' deep . The next dive site was a shallow reef and a shipwreck the Oro Verde which has an interesting story which you can read here : http://blog.stevenwsmeltzer.com/dive-site-reviews/grand-cayman-dive-site-reviews/dive-sites/scuba-diving-grand-cayman-oro-verde-shipwreck/ The hogfish is a favorite with spear fisherman . I wonder why ? The dive produced some happy and friendly divers Video clips A small turtle : A school of some small fish bottom feeding . See if you can spot a small peacock flounder in the lower right corner of the video : A close encounter with a grouper :

Rare scubacruiserx2 Posted January 3, 2017 Author #192 Share Posted January 3, 2017 We're on the CB Friday - any tips or tricks to know? Thanks  A couple of ifs , first 1 . If you are at terminal 21 and if you have priority boarding there is a long general boarding line . The shorter priority line is on the other side against the wall , so you have to cut through the longer line to reach the priority line . 2. If you have a GOES or global 1 for disembarkation , you must take your card and passport . Passport alone won't work like it does at the airport . 3. Unlike the Regal you can get a great view from the bow and on top of the bridge . 4. Enjoy your cruise ! :) :D

Rare geoherb Posted January 4, 2017 #199 Share Posted January 4, 2017 That dessert was my favorite of our whole cruise last month on the CB. I did not think the beef Wellington was very good. I enjoyed the large shrimp (served with the lobster tail) the most.

The Wellington was better on the Regal than the CB and the UBD was better on the CB than the Regal in our opinions . :) :D
