Rare scubacruiserx2 Posted January 11, 2017 Author #278 Share Posted January 11, 2017 Here's the log of the cruise . We usually do a self disembarkation but we took our time having breakfast before trying to board the CB .

jennybenny Posted January 11, 2017 #280 Share Posted January 11, 2017 As you have noted , most of the dives in Cozumel are drift dives . The currents here keep the water moving and clean and can also be used to cover a lot of ground and see a lot . Some dives have little or no current like Paradise Reef which is near to the port and where snorkeling is popular . Also Columbia shallows in the far south is calm and shallow and a good second dive because you don't need a SI there . There are a couple of ways to minimize the currents like hiding in the eddies created behind rocks or walls , or swimming through the many caves here , as seen in this video clip : http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=242253 Our grandson learned to dive in Cozumel when he was 12 by completing the PADI course on line and doing the water work with our dive provider in Cozumel . That's so awesome that your grandson dives with you!! I mentioned it to my husband that it is time to get our son diving [emoji4] It doesn't look like the correct link to me Mimi either currents but now that I know there is "video" out there I will research prior to our next dive! Rare Bimmer09 Posted January 12, 2017 #281 Share Posted January 12, 2017 I love my 6D , but not the manual as much . Clear but not concise like the field guide Have a great trip and if you have any questions on the 6D I'll try to answer them . Joe, thanks for the good wishes and offer of help! I have the instruction manual on a PDF on my computer which I'll have with me on the ship. I'm excited by the results of my first few pics taken at home as the weather here in Chicago doesn't warrant stepping outside. Miami will be a better testing ground. I have a 64 Gigabyte Sandisk Extreme card loaded up and ready! I can get 2,000 RAW files on it and I mean to fill her up! Cheers! Norris, packing for the sun, not the snow. Rare perfect match Posted January 12, 2017 #286 Share Posted January 12, 2017 Will do Nancy , as soon as my IT person wakes up . ;) How about paying for shipping ? It's one of Pat's favorite tunes , but she has a penchant for missing it . We we saw The Paul McCartney World Tour in 1990 she was stuck in line for the ladies room and ditto for this performance , which I recorded for her . You won the pillow chocolate for the correct answer ! I suspect that Norris is camera shopping or getting ready for his cruise on Celebrity this month . Joe, I emailed you before I came here, so I had not seen the post above. I would be glad to pay the shipping. Email me with the cost and where you want me to send it. The pillow chocolate was tasty! It went very well with the Cozumel dive video. :D Hi, Nancy (and Joe). Correct answer indeed but I read Joe's quiz question late last night after work and before dinner at 11.30 pm and at the time was playing with a Canon 6D and the instruction manual as I have only two days to become familiar with it before heading to Miami on Friday morning at 7.30. I have 5 cameras charged and ready. I'll post my Celebrity Reflection review starting on January 22 when I get back. Cheers! Norris Norris, I will be watching the Miami webcam this weekend. I will be watching for the Reflection, looking for you and your cameras, and for Carol, who will, I'm sure, be waving! I knew you were due to sail soon, so I will be looking forward to your review after you get home. Hope you have a wonderful cruise!

While looking for the battery charger (which we didn't find yet ) we did find a couple of old 2 GB SD cards with whale sharks , mantas , black tipped sharks and a spotted eagle ray , which I've uploaded to our youtube . One of our friends is a big guy and you can see him swimming through one in this video clip : And if you are not comfortable swimming through , you can swim over the top like this diver is doing , following their bubbles until they exit the swim through . Rare scubacruiserx2 Posted January 12, 2017 Author #293 Share Posted January 12, 2017 Finding our luggage was easy since we were disembarking late , however , we were told that we couldn't use the short line for the GOES pass ( Global one ) and that we must join the hoi polloi ( Oh , the indignity and cruelty of life sometimes ! ) . If you have one , you must now carry your photo ID which came with our renewal , in addition your our passport . We were picked up by the car park shuttle where we attached our new tags to our luggage and grabbed our 2 free bottles of wine which we had left in our 4 wheeled wine cellar . We then returned to terminal 21 and joined the queue for our Princess in waiting . The shorter line on the right is for Suites and Elites At about 11:30 the S&E line began to move into the terminal Unlike boarding the Regal , there was no carry on wine inspection . We then move into the clubhouse which was complete with refreshments . Upon boarding at noon , we had a soup and sandwich lunch at the IC before retiring to our stateroom # B -755 , our first aft balcony on the CB . Rare Bimmer09 Posted January 12, 2017 #296 Share Posted January 12, 2017 Norris, I will be watching the Miami webcam this weekend. I will be watching for the Reflection, looking for you and your cameras, and for Carol, who will, I'm sure, be waving! I knew you were due to sail soon, so I will be looking forward to your review after you get home. Hope you have a wonderful cruise! Nancy, anytime I look at the Miami webcam the shots are from a long way off unlike P.Everglades where they zoom in by request. We are in the same cabin we had on the Silhouette-aft suite on the corner low down on the ship (deck 7) but this time on the starboard side facing away from the causeway that I saw 44 times on the Song of Norway so at some point I may have to leave our balcony to get a good still shot. I'll have two of the cameras shooting video no doubt. As a close up is unlikely I am not going to force Carol to wave like somebody drowning which will save half an hour's waving practice in our hotel room. The X board has threads lamenting cutbacks on the line so with the Silhouette still fresh in my mind I'll be curious to see how our experience unfolds. I'm expecting another great cruise. Three new islands for Carol and the same three I haven't seen since my 44 previous visits in 1986. We are raring to go! Hope to see you during my review on the X board....(you too Joe!) We are raring to go! Hope to see you during my review on the X board....(you too Joe!) Norris Wow, cutbacks on X..... there seems to be a disturbing trend unfolding in the cruise industry. Norris, looking forward to the review. Joe, try ordering the Eggs Benedict with the sauce on the side. I don't know why Princess seems to think that the sauce should be "browned" on top of the eggs. Thanks for the review and great pictures.

chamima Posted January 12, 2017 #299 Share Posted January 12, 2017 They are coming up Karen . If you any specifics that we don't cover , ask away , Ok ? Thanks! I will - on here and in person. We've sailed aft on Princess a lot but have always managed to get the corner (C752 or C753) afts. They were taken when we booked this cruise and I'm interested in the privacy with cabins on both sides. (Although I know it really depends on one's neighbors for that specific cruise.) Rare scubacruiserx2 Posted January 12, 2017 Author #300 Share Posted January 12, 2017 Nothing much , this could be the Regal Typically Princess decor . But wait , where's the large interactive flat screen on the wall ? Maybe the TV was suffering from Ocean Air Shrinkage , like our clothes . And the love seat is now a chair . Ah ha , the toilet paper is in a more user friendly location . But , the removable shower massage is back on the Regal . A consolation is that the price is nice ! ;)
