kaseyoz Posted January 11, 2006 #277 Share Posted January 11, 2006 Karon I have worked out how to make my photos black and white with colour features like the Mystery Island heart photo you emailed me. Very pleased with myself.:D Kazza:) it is not so hard is it when you get the hang of it. i have done a few photos like it now. I really love my mystery island photo, i had it blown up bigger too. it is a neat trick to do kids christmas photos where you make the photo black and white and colorise an xmas hat they are wearing. I now need time to play around with photoshop. I now have photoshop 6 plus elements plus santa bought me photoshop for dummies book. i think i prefer the elements as it seems easier to work. I now want to leanr how to remove itmes from a photo.
karmac Posted January 11, 2006 #278 Share Posted January 11, 2006 Hi Karon, as I said to kazza, I'd love to see one of those photos so I know exactly what you're talking about. I got my first digital camera for Christmas & would love to know the sort of things I can do with it. Karen

karmac Posted January 11, 2006 #281 Share Posted January 11, 2006 I know this is totally off the subject of cruising, but I guess that is what this thread is about, but did anybody watch the cricket on Monday night? Just wondering what your thoughts are on the 20/20 matches. Karen

kaseyoz Posted January 13, 2006 #286 Share Posted January 13, 2006 hi karmac. I dont know what happened to photos, but as i said it took ages for virus scan and now they have come back to me as file too big. I just sent them another way and they seemed to go through quick,so hopefully they will be ok. I still dont know why i cannot link on CC it kept coming up with the page when you offline when i try and upload photos.. If you can link here karmac pleaee feel free to do the mystery island one as i took that photo expecially to do the colorising with. Having a digital totally changes how you think and take photos doesnt it?
pixie01 Posted January 13, 2006 #287 Share Posted January 13, 2006 Im sure it will be great. We picked N611 because its my husbands birthday and we really wanted to see the land divers at Pentecost. I was just looking at the specials brochure from the T/A and I got a great deal when I booked. As someone said on this site (I think it was Kaseyoz) if it costs about $100 a night its a great deal. We come in at $108 a night. :D Kazza Excuse the ingnorance, but is that per person per night?
karmac Posted January 13, 2006 #288 Share Posted January 13, 2006 Excuse the ingnorance, but is that per person per night? Yes it is. We're going on the same cruise as kazza but she got a better deal than us. We come in at $140 per person per night. Karen

aussiedisneyfan Posted January 13, 2006 #292 Share Posted January 13, 2006 All done, just cleaning Angelique's cowboy boots, well have set hubby the task. Have packed everything bar the kitchen sink and washing machine, have the iron though. Will see what happens. Have the smuggled alcohol, and written confirmation from P&O via the travel agent about laundry and kids dining. Will be interesting to see how it goes. They are supposed to be ringing back on Monday with confirmation of arrangements. If I don't hear anything then Keepcruising will ring another number she has and try again. We can always try and track down the guy who promised to ring back as he is on our cruise. Very excited now, don't think I will sleep. Probably won't be back on unless I find free wireless at the airport or my friends have broadband. Bye to all, thanks for everyones help and friendship. Will post asap when I get on and find out the fun details.! :)

chaz cruiser Posted January 23, 2006 #294 Share Posted January 23, 2006 Hi All, I'm working late and need a "brain break". Anyone one out there want to chat tonight? Cheers, Chaz:)
karmac Posted January 23, 2006 #295 Share Posted January 23, 2006 I'm always up for a chat. I guess it must be hard getting back into the work thing. I just received an email saying my sons passport has been completed so he's thrilled about that. I think he was feeling a bit put out because we got the rest of them last week but had a problem with his. Should be here by the end of the week. chaz cruiser Posted January 23, 2006 #296 Share Posted January 23, 2006 yes very difficult getting back into work!! You should tell your son he is special and that his passport will be delivered by itself!!! He could have the joy of opening his own passport!! Cheers, Chaz:)
karmac Posted January 23, 2006 #297 Share Posted January 23, 2006 I'll definately let him open it himself. At 9 years old, he doesn't get mail very often. I open enough mail (bills). The kids are getting very excited and as they will be back at school next week, the time is gonna really fly. BTW what is the temparature like in the dining room & lounges? Is it comfortable with short sleeves? Karen
chaz cruiser Posted January 23, 2006 #298 Share Posted January 23, 2006 The show lounge was quite cool. I often had to go to the cabin and get Nan's jacket, but the rest of us were able to handle the chill. No problems in the restaurant, although the girl at our table went out most nights to their cabin to get her jacket - I think this was just a ploy to leave the table because most times when she came back she would actually take the jacket off. The casino, Casablanca & Piano Bar were all very hot! Cheers, Chaz:)
karmac Posted January 23, 2006 #299 Share Posted January 23, 2006 That sounds ok. Didn't want to take much in way of jumpers & jackets. Apart from the fact that I don't like wearing them, they take up too much room. Will be interesting to see how many jumpers hubby packs. Last time we went to QLD, Oct '04 he took 4 big jumpers. Never wore any of them. I had also told him that I would be washing every day as there was a washing machine & dryer in our apartment. Needless to say, he took up more room in the suitcases than the rest of us. Karen
chaz cruiser Posted January 23, 2006 #300 Share Posted January 23, 2006 Sounds like a typical male. Actually a typical male would probably expect you to pack for him so maybe not!! I took a jacket & a light wrap and think I wore the wrap once (can't remember why, maybe I just grabbed it on one of my runs for Nan!). Cheers, Chaz:)
