"Exclusive for Suites" on the Adventure?

Just reserved a Grand Suite on the Adventure for this summer. It will be DH, myself, and our 14-y/o granddaughter. I see that there are exclusive perks, such as concierge services and complimentary luggage valet service, but don't know exactly what that entails - I was just thinking bigger room and balcony! What are the concierge services on a cruise? And how does the luggage service work? Appreciate any insights...thanks!

Luggage valet is not available on Adventure.

The Concierge can help with excursions, dining reservations, spa appointments, etc.

The concierge lounge has a free specialty coffee machine you can use 24 hours. There is continental breakfast for a couple of hours in the morning, and free soda, selected beer and wine, and basic cocktails during the evening cocktail period from around 5pm to 8:30pm.

The concierge can assist you with pretty much anything you need. Show tickets, tender tickets, restaurant reservations, etc. On our last cruise he helped us with our DVD player and internet in the room.

The concierge lounge serves a continental breakfast and has a happy hour with light snacks. All free. You can also borrow movies and games for free.

Luggage valet is a service at the end of the cruise where your luggage is delivered directly to the airline. So you place it outside your door and pick it up at your final destination airport.

You will also get expedited disembarkation at the end of the cruise. The concierge will escort you to the front of the line off the ship.

Thanks, Clarea and breeze123. When I made the reservation, it stated:Exclusive For Suites

Priority check-in and departure lounge

Concierge Services

Priority tender tickets

Complimentary luggage valet service

Luxury spa bathrobes to use onboard

Is this a generic statement they put for all Royal Caribbean Grand Suites, whether or not it's actually available? While it really was the larger room that sold me on the suite, I look forward to perks as well! The free drinks in the lounge will be nice...I was on the fence about getting a drink package, and with this news, I'm now off the fence! Will pay as we go.

Correct, that's the standard list of suite amenities. However, not all perks are available on all sailings. For example, you will also have access to a reserved suite area on the pool deck. Adventure has that area, but some other ships don't. Luggage Valet is one of the services that is not available (suite guest or otherwise) on Adventure.

We love GS suites , last 4 cruise and next 2 are GS, really like the breakfast in specialty restaurants, reserved seating for ice show, concierge lounge, reserved pool seating etc, also dvd player in suite

Out of curiosity, do you get anything extra in the specialty restaurants during breakfast? When we had breakfast in Chops on the Mariner, it was only an additional sit down area with a small section for cereals and breads. We took most of our breakfast from the Windjammer and sat in Chops but that was it. Also, did you have to request for the DVD player on your cruises? We took a bunch of cartoons onboard to entertain the children but our GS didn't have the DVD player so they became white elephants LOL. I'm wondering now whether the DVD player was hidden somewhere and we didn't look hard enough.

We were recently on LOTS. Breakfast in Chops was from menu. Items like Eggs Benedict, Frattata etc. All cooked to order items. Was nice to have cooked to order but very slow service.

Just off the Adventure in November. Bob is correct, no luggage valet on the Adventure. There is a made to order breakfast available to suite guests in Giovanni's. I believe this will be moved to Chops once it is open. It is also nice to have a reserved seating area for the shows.

The main thing in breakfast for us was the service and nice quite place for either breakfast or lunch. DVD or play station was under the TV but you had to ask concierge for the remote, we bring "big bang episodes " and some music dvd's since RCCL tv selection sucks. all 4 of our GS's had a dvd or playstation I would ask concierge if it was not there, took me a little while to get hang of the play station for the dvd's

On the Adventure the Luggage service for suites is simply - they will have you gather in the lounge and all go as a group off the ship. Your luggage will be in a separate area. They will help you locate your luggage. You will then go into a separate line to go thru customs. The day we left it was less than 15 minutes until we were in a cab. Great service.

You can also order anything from the MDR to be delivered to your room. This was great for port days as we always ordered a hot breakfast from room service and then ate it as we were getting ready to go out. Made things much quicker. We also had dinner on our balcony once which was very nice.

I was hoping suite breakfast would stay in Giovanni's due to the view.

Were there plenty of cabs waiting?
