JEWEL HOTEL SENIOR MANAGEMENT Beginning 2 September:

 

Hotel Director: Steven Jacobsen

 

Food and Beverage: Mohammad Hasan

 

Restaurant Manager: Noel Chaves

 

 

Also sometime in September, The Jewel is scheduled to change Captains but I am not sure who or when.

Ok.....I spent WAY too much time scrolling through pages and pages on this threa today....and yes - I DID do a "search".....and although all of the perspectives regarding those beloved officers that have left NCL are important.....I truly only want to know some personnel/crew on upcoming cruises....so any input on this area would be greatly appreciated...as I did believe that this was the original point of this thread....

 

NCL Pearl for September (Alaska).....particularly Butler and Concierge for Haven and Casino staff

 

NCL Escape - October - Eastern and Western Caribbean - again, Butlers and Concierge for the Haven and Casino staff

 

Other booked cruises are too far in the future to make sense in inquiring at this point.

 

This thread and it's predecessors has been going for 4+ years. Its primary purpose is "who's on board". But for those of who've participated from the beginning, the secondary purpose has always been discussing the pros/cons of crew, the crew's feedback and the psyche of NCL. I'd estimate that 80% of the current crew reports are posted by 20% of the CCers. What is off topic to some of those who come here to get info, has been on topic for many of those who provide most of the info. I look forward to seeing your posts of all the officers on your upcoming Pearl and Escape cruises.

Steve Jacobsen is on my top five list of HDs. But, then I'm biased since he's from Chicago . :cool:

Agreed regarding Steven - very under stated lovely man.

 

Noel - He is probably one of the longest serving RM on the fleet - and excellent man who has the most wonderful family love him.

 

Hassan another stalwart and excellent so I make that a pretty good if not dream team!!

Thanks for the info. I'm still trying to understand the finer points of the new system. I've got an upcoming triple B2B2B and was offered into bidding for the first two legs but not the last. I didn't bid since the third was the only one I was willing to change cabins.

I wondered about that as well....as on B2B...if you get only "one" of the two.....that would mean changing rooms which I am unwilling to do.....yet although booked B2B there does NOT seem to be an option for bidding for BOTH segments......

 

Probably not that many B2B'ers to worry about....but it has been an issue with us for the last 4 cruises...as I would be happy to try for the DOS suites but only if I knew that I could get them both. Maybe in the future they can put this into the bidding process...

I doubt this will change as each week availability is mutually exclusive and would be difficult to manage. What about the people on the second of B2B only.

 

I do not know how this is working but it is to my knowledge still not in widely available in the UK which is totally unfair if true and clearly its not something that NCL are pushing hard. Seems like another NCL experiment.

 

Here in the UK the AI has pushed the price too high and there is a lot of talk of it being dropped back to the Choose 2 type promotion.

 

We are PP loyal guests but are now being priced out - or put another way I will not assist FDR turn NCL in Oceana!!

Not sure what your question is. Staff members on any given ship come and go on a weekly basis. Some leave for vacations and possible new assignments. Others are boarding to take their places.

 

Unless people returning from cruises post here, which officers were on their cruise. It is almost impossible to get keep up. Even with people posting from their cruise last week, that may not be accurate because of vacation schedules and re-assignments.

This thread posts the senior ship staff. The posting is done by fellow cruise critic cruisers, not by NCL. The posts are based upon recent sailings on each ship. So you may or may not see a post for your ship.
