Using OBC

I would like to use some of our Onboard Credit for an internet package. If the OBC doesn't show up on our account until Day 2 (or later,) is it a problem if we sign up for the internet package on Day 1? Or do we have to wait for the OBC to appear before we can use it?

I have found the Internet package to be significantly cheaper buying it ahead if time as opposed to on the ship. Buy it now and use the OBC for something else.

Thanks! I know it is cheaper in advance, but I don't think I would buy the internet package unless I can get it "free" (using OBC). I want to use the OBC to cover gratuities and internet, and I will still have a little left over for an occasional Drink of the Day or something.

You can take unused OBC out in the casino.

Anything you purchase will simply be charged to the account. So, if the OBC does not show up till day 2 or so, you will have charges for that period of time. Then the OBC will be applied and your balance will be cleared.

If you don't really want the internet and are purchasing it with OBC to use the OBC, you can also use the OBC for specialty dining or in any shop on board. Depending on the type of OBC, you may be able to cash it out at guest services. If it is non refundable, then you can generally get cash for it at the casino but, there will be a 5% charge. We learned we had some non refundable OBC at the end of the cruise and it was worth paying $5 to get $95!

enjoy

No because you don't settle your account till the end of the cruise anyway.
