NCL Pearl Suite Question for Shows

On all ships only the Garden Villa and Owner's suites have reserved theatre seating.

However recently on the Dawn, a show was SRO but the reserved seating area was not full, so they opened it up to anybody.

Usually either the concierge or one of their staff are standing by the area to enforce the rules.

Has that changed recently? I've seen a recent report that the areas that had the plaques were changed to read GV and DOS only so no more OS - but that was only one report.

Last year on Spirit they had a whole side for suites. When we were on Dawn years ago they had the reserved booths for GV, DOS, and OS and a whole side behind that for all suite guests. It always seems to vary by ship and concierge as to whether all suites get reserved seating.

It's normally DOS and GV seating only. But if you are a suites guest (any suite), get to know the concierge and anything is possible. We were in an SE on the Jewel recently and had a took the time to talk with the concierge daily. We asked and were allowed into the GV seating every night.

We got off the Pearl December 19th. The sign in the Reserved Area read.."Reserved for Garden Villa and Owners Suites", (which includes GV, DOS, and OS). We have completed 13 cruises on NCL. We have cruised in the GV one time, and the Owner's Suite 12 times. Never booked a DOS. We have always had Reserved Seating in either the upper Port or Starboard balconies in the theater, depending on ship.

Are they the best seating view-wise? Maybe not. BUT...you can go at the last possible minute and have a decent seat without wandering around in the dark and disturbing other passengers.

Yes, Owner's Suites ARE included when it comes to Reserved Seating.

Unless this has changed recently, we have always been able to sit in the reserved seating are when we have been in the Haven. From a 2 bedroom suite, penthouse suite, GV, or DOS. I thought the sign read "reserved for Suite guests" but maybe I am wrong.
