Ashland Posted January 24, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 24, 2017 This seems different than what someone posted recently. They had the Caribbean posted for March 7th Oh what to do know:confused: I wanted to book the southern caribbean (May 2018) while onboard in middle March. If they are not released yet just book a placeholder cruise when you are on board and then change it to the new sailing once they get released

Jay Bee Posted January 24, 2017 #11 Share Posted January 24, 2017 Week of March 6, 2017 Europe (Phase I), Year-Round Caribbean & Bahamas Week of March 27, 2017 Northeast & Seasonal Caribbean I understand the difference between year-round and seasonal caribbean, but which routes/ships are which? After the year-round itineraries are released, I don't know how to figure out what is yet to come out later in the month so it's hard to make a decision. Florida_cruisers Posted February 22, 2017 #16 Share Posted February 22, 2017 I am curious, what would the advantage for RCI to release their itineraries so late compared to their competitors? They can always adjust pricing at any given time. Or is it the "this is the way we've always done it" type of a thing as historically they have always waited until the Spring. They could theoretically make changes to the ships itineraries based on competitors itineraries and overall market trends later than other lines. Biker19 Posted February 23, 2017 #18 Share Posted February 23, 2017 They could theoretically make changes to the ships itineraries based on competitors itineraries and overall market trends later than other lines. Also, they have more time to sell charters vs putting out a schedule, have people book and then cancel on them when they charter the ship. They also have more time to decide if another Vision class ship will leave the fleet (bound to happen with new ships coming in both 2018 and 2019) - to avoid a Legend like situation.
