It does seem a little odd that they will give a $5.00 mocktail but not a $2.00 bottle of water.

 

They must have their reasons.

Bottle vs. "gun" dispensed for sodas. The mocktails are pre-made up.

 

Water as pure as most bottled water is available from the tap and is free. Most people just bring a water bottle to fill up.

Yes but many have premixed ingredients.

The mocktails do use pre-made stuff like Bloody Mary mix, etc. but it is the same stuff used for the regular cocktails just without adding alcohol. The drinks are great and I thought the package to be one of the best values onboard.

 

I can't see paying for water that came from some city tap and was put into a bottle. It's nuts. The water onboard is fine and is at least as clean and pure as the stuff people are buying in bottles.

For a seven night cruise

Soda and More $7.00 x 7 x 1.15 = $56.35

One Coffee Card $31 x 1.15 = $35.65

Two 12-bottle Water Packs $6 x 2 x 1.15 = $13.80

 

Grand Total $105.80

 

Compare with a cruise line that offers a "includes everything" non-alcoholic beverage plan

 

RCI Royal Refreshment Package $26 x 7 x 1.18 = $214.76 :eek:

 

Princess works just fine for me, with plenty of margin for a second coffee card or a lot more water.

Exactly. I found the Mocktails to be excellent.

We consume more mocktails than the soda with the package. A real bargain for us.
