How to get invite to Club Royale ?

You really have to be a consistent gambler....they want usually 4 hours a day at a minimum "per hand" wager. If you are a slots player, then it's whatever points you accumulate ....the slot machines track that.

If you play table games, you will need to sit at a table and ASK to be "rated"...then, they will keep an eye on you and your play.

Club Royale is no longer a "by invitation only" program. It used to be, but not anymore. You will not be asked to join. Actually, you're not approached in any way, anymore, from what I have noted...unless they award you a future cruise certificate, in which case you will get this on the last night of the cruise either directly from the Casino host or, delivered to your stateroom the last night. I've had it happen both ways.

...but just because no one approached you or invited you to join or even gave you a certificate does not mean that you are not eligible for casino cruise rates. Most people never even bother to call CR and ask if they are eligible for a casino discount b/c they were never approached by someone in the casino and have no idea that they may still be eligible.

My advice to EVERYone who plays in the casino - whether they play "big" or "small" is - when you get ready to book your next cruise, call CR FIRST (888-561-2234) and ask if you are eligible for a casino rate. If they say "no" then you have lost nothing. Go ahead and book with your TA or whatever other options you had. But it's completely possible that they will say "yes" and you may save a considerable amount of money.

Things are very fluid with CR right now. Nobody knows that better than me ! (I am trying to get 2 certificates applied to a booking and it's not as easy as it used to be !) so things may, and probably will, change...but it is worth a phone call to see if you qualify for a casino rate. I was absolutely stunned the first time I realized I was eligible for a casino rate. I had no idea. So call to be sure !

Royal does the WORST job I have ever seen at effectively promoting their casino loyalty program. Frankly, I have to believe that they don't WANT anyone to know that they are eligible for a casino rate, otherwise, they would make sure that people know. But most people DON'T know. That has to be by design.

It's very perplexing....

I play 3-card and Ultimate Texas Holdem but don't bet extremely large. Sometimes I just bet the minimum ($15 to $30 depending if I stay or fold) but I do play anywhere from 3 hours on port day to 6 hours on sea days. This includes a couple of short, 5 day cruises. I've booked 8 cruises since being asked to join (I honestly didn't know it existed before that) and have gotten the casino rate on each one. Hopefully I'll get free drinks as well.

Fyi club royal host told me it's a flat 100$ discount for every 400 point you accumulate. Not a very good deal 5 hours of playing 50$/hand was only 350 pts

Not sure what you mean by $100 discount. Was your club royal host on the ship or over the phone?
