Sent from my SM-T560NU using Forums mobile app Try Hobby Lobby or Party City. Or, you can purchase a Celebrity lanyard onboard the ship.

hurwitz5 Posted March 2, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 2, 2017 Charming Charlie's has some glitzy lanyards for women. Otherwise buy one on the ship. I usually keep my pass in my purse.
kokopelli-az Posted March 2, 2017 #7 Share Posted March 2, 2017 They sell them in the ship's shops. They had quite a selection on the Silhouette last month.
onthelake Posted March 2, 2017 #8 Share Posted March 2, 2017 Most dollar stores, 99 cent stores, etc. have them. In fact, a lot of gas stations have them - sports themed, usually.
1cruiselvr Posted March 2, 2017 #9 Share Posted March 2, 2017 They had regular ones on Summit last week for $6.95 and bling ones for $9.95. I wish I had gotten one of the bling for work. We have ID we need to keep on us at all times and I forget it at my desk too many times to count. Extra bonus is that you can put it on your shipboard account. casper106 Posted March 2, 2017 #13 Share Posted March 2, 2017 Perhaps someone will correct me but I think I read somewhere here that they will no longer punch holes on the cards since they need to be scanned.
diesel1973 Posted March 2, 2017 #14 Share Posted March 2, 2017 Recently went on Equinox. There was a stand before boarding ship that that was selling them. My DW got the bling one for $10 and they also punched her card. The only problems were the "diamonds" kept getting caught in her hair and you also have to remove card everytime you use it. I just stuck my card in my pocket!!
eddiethekub Posted March 2, 2017 #15 Share Posted March 2, 2017 Have to agree with the pocket concept.
stealthy Posted March 2, 2017 #16 Share Posted March 2, 2017 Yes yes pockets are good. Not a recent invention either. [emoji6] I'll never understand the lanyard "thing".
Olive1950 Posted March 2, 2017 #17 Share Posted March 2, 2017 Pocket idea is good; until you don't have a pocket. I love my lanyard; and the detachable plastic housing for my SeaPass card.
north29 Posted March 2, 2017 #18 Share Posted March 2, 2017 We use one from Hobby Lobby, it is small black and has extra zippered pocket in the back for CC, ID and yes even cash. Put it inside your shirt or blouse and you will hardly know is there. It also had a clear plastic view area, which they can scan your card without taking it out or from around your neck. FurrandBush Posted March 2, 2017 #19 Share Posted March 2, 2017 Black vertical badge holder with neck cord from hobby lobby. $2.99. Very durable with an extra pocket on top and a zipper closure on the back to hold credit card or cash.
hurwitz5 Posted March 2, 2017 #20 Share Posted March 2, 2017 I haven't used a lanyard before on many cruises, but I am considering it now. If you put the ship's card in a purse that has a magnet in it - your ship's card won't work. I had his happen on 2 cruises and had to go to guest relations to get a new card. Also, if you keep your card next to your cell phone, the card won't work.
1cruiselvr Posted March 3, 2017 #21 Share Posted March 3, 2017 As for the pocket suggestion, I've had my Seapass card fall out of my pocket and get lost someplace on the ship. After that, I don't trust pockets anymore.
Moonlitherial Posted March 3, 2017 #22 Share Posted March 3, 2017 Trust pockets? Heck half my clothes don't have pockets. I'll never understand why women's clothing designers hate pockets but it's like finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow when I find a dress I like that has pockets! tnfcruise Posted March 3, 2017 #23 Share Posted March 3, 2017 If you haven't found yet, and don't want to wait until boarding, I'd try Publix. Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app
phillygirl2400 Posted March 3, 2017 #24 Share Posted March 3, 2017 The "diamond" lanyards shed. I find the crystals loose in my suitcases, pocketbook, beach bag, etc. Each time I find one it brings back fond memories of a cruise.
