LGFD Posted March 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 6, 2017 Hello All, new to these boards and cruising! Please tell me about the Vibe Beach Club on the Breakaway. Joining or paying for the option to use this Club wasn't an option when I purchased my cruise. How do I gain access? What's the cost? And is it worth it? Tell me everything I need to know about the Vibe Beach Club!
hansolosmom Posted March 6, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 6, 2017 I have never used Vibe, but I can tell you the following: - It is a weekly pass you buy (around $100 per person) - It's adult only - They only sell a certain about of passes for the week, they are a first come, first serve item to buy - There is a bar and lots of nice loungers - There is no pool but I believe 2 hot tubs. Most people who want to get the passes are because it is so much less crowded then either the pool or the adult only area - Spice H20 Someone posted some really nice pictures of it, if you try the Search feature for Vibe, you should be able to find them. Rare BostonGal35 Posted March 6, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 6, 2017 we did it once. it is awesome. 2 hot tubs, cushioned loungers/day beds, your own bar, a "water feature" (outdoor shower) and your own set of bathrooms. they come by with misters and fruit skewers. the bartender knew us and our drinks pretty much from day one. it was awesome. we were in boarding group 2 (first group after haven, CAS, handicapped people, etc.). passes were sold out and my fiance ran, and i mean ran, to customer service. after expressing that we really wanted the passes, the agent said he'd "see what he could do". he then found us at lunch and said he was able to come up with two more passes. that said, on our sailing, the VIBE was near empty most days and we were there every day, most all day. so while they "sell out" people seem to buy them and rarely use them (waste). i think with some convincing, you may be able to get a couple if you are initially told they are sold out. LGFD Posted March 7, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted March 7, 2017 Thanks for the great information! So basically run, don't walk, to customer service! How would anyone even know these passes are an option? It's not advertised anywhere
cage keeper Posted March 7, 2017 #5 Share Posted March 7, 2017 Don't understand why people buy them and don't really use them. If I could get them I would spend my whole day in there.

It's not advertised anywhere Also consider with the new boarding policies, all of the suites and top tier frequent cruisers with NCL (Havens, Ambassador, Casino Guests, Platinum Plus, and Platinum) who know about the passes will be boarded before general boarding starts. 80 passes for the 4200 guests on the ship. WashyWashyHappyHappy95 Posted March 7, 2017 #8 Share Posted March 7, 2017 no point in buying it in the colder weather
Rare BostonGal35 Posted March 7, 2017 #9 Share Posted March 7, 2017 there is absolutely no reason for anyone in Haven to buy a pass, unless they want a kid free area. so that shouldnt be an issue. they already have a private, exclusive courtyard and sun deck with their own bar, etc. i think the most we ever saw in VIBE, on a sea day, was perhaps 20 people. for the most part, if i remember correctly, there was a group of about 8 or 10 of us who were there open till close. all but one of the sold out cabanas sat empty the entire cruise. another waste of money on the part of whoever bought them. i imagine the area is busier during a peak time (i.e., summers or school vacation times) as people want to escape the kids. nancydow Posted March 7, 2017 #12 Share Posted March 7, 2017 Cruised on the Breakaway last week and ran to get a Vibe pass - first one there! I paid my $99 and got my access. I probably spent a total of about two hours there. It was so cold and windy on the first two and last 1.5 days! One of the bartenders told me that in the winter months, they never sell out of passes. I imagine a very different situation in the summer months to Bermuda! Sent from my iPhone using Forums

The first and last days would be pointless sailing to and from NYc. My oh and I are currently debating if the price is worth it to use the passes for the few hours when our 4 year old will be in Splash Academy. I'm not sure yet  It does look amazing though, compared the the main pool area
Rare BostonGal35 Posted March 7, 2017 #14 Share Posted March 7, 2017 for a winter sail, you are much better off investing in spa passes (or booking a spa room that gives you the passes).
grouchomarx Posted March 7, 2017 #15 Share Posted March 7, 2017 Don't understand why people buy them and don't really use them. If I could get them I would spend my whole day in there. Agree, I can't understand why people buy them but don't go there, and people who want access can't get it. I was lucky to get passes and it was always empty even all the cabanas. The only thing I might think is that people find out it's really windy at times and don't like that. There should be a Vibe pass exchange system where if someone doesn't like it, they can return it and then someone on a waitlist can get in. Or do it like Princess does their adults only Sanctuary, sell a limited number of full cruise passes and then also offer single day passes. How would anyone even know these passes are an option? It's not advertised anywhere It regularly sells out, so there would be no benefit to advertising it. People generally find out about it when researching their ship, like you did.
Mashala Posted August 16, 2017 #20 Share Posted August 16, 2017 Anyone knows about the renting of Cabana's? I think I read somewhere that you can rent Cabana for the whole sailing which comes with some kind of food or bar credit?

I think I read somewhere that you can rent Cabana for the whole sailing which comes with some kind of food or bar credit? The cabana is a good deal because you basically get your money back with an OBC at the end. They will tell you it's for food and drinks but for us, we didn't use it for that and still got the OBC. Can't remember the exact price though, sorry, but I thought it was a steal.

Two Wheels Only Posted August 16, 2017 #23 Share Posted August 16, 2017 There should be a Vibe pass exchange system where if someone doesn't like it, they can return it and then someone on a waitlist can get in. Or do it like Princess does their adults only Sanctuary, sell a limited number of full cruise passes and then also offer single day passes. Some people do return their pass and get a refund There is a wait list and some people do get the call later in the day or the next day There were day passes when weekly passes didn't sell out. The problem was that weekly passes usually sold out so there was no need for daily passes. I don't even think Escape offers daily passes for that reason. Sent from my LG-D852G using Forums mobile app OK I'm scratching my brain and I think the deal was, with Vibe plus a cabana was $300 for the week and a $100 OBC. So the total cost was $199, pretty the cost of just the Vibe so why not. You must decide on the cabana while waiting in line for Vibe, you can't go back and add it on later (unless policy has changed).
