Someone that was recently on Joy reported that they "let" speeds creep up from what we've seen on those videos - with some "thrilling" corners possible.

 

Yes, like any other modern go-kart track, the max speed is centrally controlled.

 

Also... apparently they're strictly enforcing no alcohol consumption prior. Zero tolerance.

 

At least that's what I remember reading, but I'm already banned from driving this evening.
