Sun Lakes Cruiser Posted April 17, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2017 The DL looks really small for over 5k people on board...anyone with input..??? .was on Liberty recently...could NEVER get a seat in lounge with less passengers. Never been on Oasis class before...usually prefer smaller ships.
frank808 Posted April 17, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 17, 2017 It is not for 5k passengers but only those that are diamond and higher in c&a status. The lounge is 2 stories so there is decent room. Was on allure when there were about 400 diamond and above members and lounge was crowded but not standing room only. beardedladies Posted April 17, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 17, 2017 On liberty and oasis class you also have the issue of diamond plus people only having access to the diamond lounge and not the suite lounge (as opposed to access to a concierge lounge on other ships). This means the diamond lounge has to cope with more people when they're already struggling to accommodate just diamonds. Clarea Posted April 17, 2017 #4 Share Posted April 17, 2017 We've found the lounges are much less crowded right after early traditional dinner starts.
nelblu Posted April 17, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 17, 2017 There's no overflow area like some of the other ships. However, I was able to get a seat & a drink prior to main seating. On our Easter '16 cruise, the D lounge was basically empty.
micmacmissy Posted April 17, 2017 #6 Share Posted April 17, 2017 Can you use your free drinks anywhere on the ship? If so, that is what I'd do...there are far too many gorgeous settings on Allure to be stuck in one room. The Central Park Trellis Bar and Vintages were two of our favorites. Generally any bar will accept the drink vouchers. Some have reported one or two bars on a ship that won't accept the vouchers, but they are the exception. Rare island lady Posted April 17, 2017 #8 Share Posted April 17, 2017 We've found the lounges are much less crowded right after early traditional dinner starts. Ditto here also, Bob. We call it "magic hour". ;) If first seating traditional dining is 5:30, we wait and go in between 5:45 and 6 pm. Can always find available seats then.
VPIcruiser Posted April 17, 2017 #9 Share Posted April 17, 2017 The diamond lounge was not crowded last week for spring break. We had the beverage package for the first time and didn't use the lounge as much as we have in the past.

KeywestK Posted April 17, 2017 #11 Share Posted April 17, 2017 We've found the lounges are much less crowded right after early traditional dinner starts. We also found that to be the case, which worked out great for us. Sent from my SM-T713 using Forums mobile app
