What will it take to make Carnival understand...

Just my opinion, and I hope someone from Carnival really does see this thread (not that it will make a difference).
Companies in general value a personal letter, on paper, far more than any online communications. Just think about how much more strongly you must feel about something to expend the extra time and effort to write a paper letter, mail it, etc.

We are in the same boat. Ha-ha! But with one huge difference. We are the lucky ones to be going on the Conquest on Saturday. So now with no adult pool and no Serenity area that leaves us with __________ to enjoy during the day.

And going to be ON the same boat, different months. We're scheduled for February. We'll see what dry dock in Sept/Oct does for it.

But, I actually did read on this board that Carnival really does review the comments posted here. Whether that's true or not, I don't really know.
I don't know about Carnival, but it was pretty clear that Disney monitored online forums watching for sharing information about exploits so they could make changes to close the loopholes. It seems likely that they responded to how much promotional codes were being shared on online forums, switching to PIN codes tied to individual target customers.

Good idea, and I'll do just that! But, I actually did read on this board that Carnival really does review the comments posted here. Whether that's true or not, I don't really know.

It's True.

Okay...adults already have:

Every Bar

Club

Casino

Serenity Area

Adult Comedy

Cloud9 Spa.

What else, besides a pool, do you want? Seriously...what else?

Unfortunately, that's not happening on cruises. In december, lines of kids taking up barstools for their bubbles package. They crashed adult comedy and adult karaoke (which in karaoke, they KILLED the vibe every night and the host lady let them keep singing over and over). I'm on the side that is frustrated with the kids taking over.....

We've been on nine Carnival cruises and to be honest, we never knew the aft pools were adults only. There were always kids back there.

I've been on this board since 2000. I've seen where they eliminated New York strip steaks, chocolates on the pillows, smoking in the cabins, smoking on the balconies, cabin service twice daily (unless you ask for both), ice buckets, robes, (again unless you ask for them) etc, etc. and now adult only pools.

Each time, there have been countless postings about never sailing with Carnival again. Yet every ship still sails to full capacity. The only thing that posting on here will accomplish is getting it off your chest. They aren't about to change because a few people complain about it.

Agreed. And, I still say that for anyone who is unhappy with the changes or direction that a company and product are taking, the best thing you can do is take your business elsewhere. (Even if you mourn the loss of a great product that once was).

If anything, when they do monitor this or any other board, the only things they see are how people are smuggling on booze or going past the closed doors just to drop off your luggage. People share too much on here, then wonder why Carnival reacts to it.

Thanks to many who told how to put vodka or gin in water bottles now have us not being able to carry water onboard just as an example. I cringe when I see people saying things like "Would you rent a lounge chair by the pool or in the serenity area?" Why give them ideas?

They usually log in using different names unrecognized as being a Carnival employee. Easy enough to figure them out after a few post .

It's kinda simple Carnival is going to do what they want. Large amount of cruisers are still 1st and 2nd time and won't know the difference

Lets change gears and still be thankful that we have the ability to take a cruise and enjoy being away from home. A lot of people are less fortunate and can't afford a vacation.

Change happens and we all adjust that's how life goes

Fell free to beat my post up I just made popcorn

I don't have children, so when it is just my husband and I, we cruise when school is in session. I also cruise with family, which includes many children, so we do often cruise in the summer. Well behaved children do not bother me. Children laughing and having a good time do not bother me. Teenagers walking around the ship do not bother me. What I can't stand is the parents that think they don't need to watch their children because they are on a ship. I have seen children running around making messes and laughing about it, teenagers picking fights with other guests, removing or changing the breakfast or snoozin/cruisin signs. The problem isn't the lack of adult only areas. The problem is the lack of parental supervision.
