ladyrizza Posted May 2, 2017 #101 Share Posted May 2, 2017 I notice you were at the pvt. island today and according to my itinerary for 6/3 is Nassau on the 4th day and the pvt. island on the 5th day. Can you or anyone here tell me if this a permanent change or just this week. The reason I ask is my daughter and I booked a tour from viator Nassau on Tues 6/6. I am not sure what to do. Keep the booking or cancel.

I am guessing port availability made NCL flip the order of the ports that week compare to the other weeks.

Gershep Posted May 3, 2017 #105 Share Posted May 3, 2017 Glad to see you made it to GSC. I know you had priority tender but do you have any idea what time open tender began? First time we don't have priority tender so I was wondering what time we can get off ship. We are in no rush only want to spend a couple of hours. Thanks again!! dexddd Posted May 3, 2017 #106 Share Posted May 3, 2017 Wow, the BTS tour a bit early. Looks like you are coming into Nassau with maybe a little sprinkle per drops on bridge windows.
Rare mking8288 Posted May 3, 2017 Author #107 Share Posted May 3, 2017 (edited) Good morning to all, live on most of today on cellular, thanks to BTS, our Project Fi by Google. A cool morning at 75 degree w sun rising. Ship's engine fully stopped minutes ago, at the pier. Going to breakfast soon, not in a hurry. @tokidoki - I can't figure it out why, but Platinums did boarded first before CAS, which had a lot more on the sailing. @Gershep, we arrived late at GSC but those with #1 thru 5 we're called about 10 am and open tender around 11:15 for those w higher # and open to all. 2 tenders running so wasn't bad. We waited in the lounge & got escorted down at about 10:15, skipping the line so got the dirty looks from the crowd. With the Gem, island didn't feel crowded even with the main beach open only. @dexddd - yes, going need to wake up early tomorrow, eat first & then do that BTS tour early. via Nexus 5X on Nougat 7.1.2 using Tapatalk, VPN secured. Rare mking8288 Posted May 3, 2017 Author #108 Share Posted May 3, 2017 We cruised around 8 kt overnight, leaving GSC later than usual. Dinner w grilled grouper in MDR & escargot. Stateroom interactive TV, HDMI port is accessible & got Roku plugged in but no signals thru. Just FYI. via Nexus 5X on Nougat 7.1.2 using Tapatalk, VPN secured. Mike D. Posted May 3, 2017 #109 Share Posted May 3, 2017 Thank you so much for all the information/pictures. We're sailing on the the 27th (May) on the same itinerary. Roku on the Gem? I could bring my Roku and connect it but wouldn't it eat through Wi-Fi minutes in a big hurry? My experience is the every NCL ship I've been on has slug slow Wi-Fi anyway. Thanks again. Great stuff! Rare mking8288 Posted May 3, 2017 Author #110 Share Posted May 3, 2017 Power breakfast, smoked salmon only in MDR, before we hit the pavements of Nassau. via Nexus 5X on Nougat 7.1.2 using Tapatalk, VPN secured.

spidybabe Posted May 3, 2017 #112 Share Posted May 3, 2017 Smoked salmon Only in MDR? Not in any buffets anymore? Gone from the buffet. Only "whipped" mouse like salmon. Some people have been successful requesting it at the buffet, but we weren't able to get on the Epic ( with the HD with us) nor on the Pearl. I really really missed it Safe sailing

dexddd Posted May 3, 2017 #117 Share Posted May 3, 2017 Enjoy your last two sea days before getting back Saturday. Did you find the casino to your liking? They also had a couple games in the Spinnaker and Bliss IIRC. Are Sidley and Silvio still the Cruisenext folks? They took us through the BTS and we got to go backstage and into the dressing rooms which was the first for us to visit that part of the ship. Rare mking8288 Posted May 3, 2017 Author #118 Share Posted May 3, 2017 @dexddd - casino is very busy. Slots too tight, per DW till last night. We hit a small jackpot after dinner so put us a little ahead. Our friend also similarly hit a small jackpot, about 850's, keep them all busy, it was open while we're at GSC. Stopped here for 45 minutes. via Nexus 5X on Nougat 7.1.2 using Tapatalk, VPN secured.

Rare mking8288 Posted May 3, 2017 Author #120 Share Posted May 3, 2017 (edited) Laundry Specials is today. We got our bag full with the Platinum perk send out also, additional coupon for 2nd Platinum member in same room can be requested from Latitude rep onboard. Goodies fro Elvina, concierge this afternoon. There are 2 Ambassadors on board, out of about 50 in NCL, those sailing has 850 points, wow. Hanging out in the atrium, coffee bar is busy, good for NCL. Doing dinner at 5:30 pm to catch the 7 pm show in Stardust (or 9 pm) so not going to watch for pier runners. Ship time is same as local time. Dailies for day 6 & 7 will get posted after we get back and answer all other questions, etc. since we won't be on ship's WiFi, unless it's urgent or emergency. Been one of the best & smoothist ride in cruising, seas of 5' or less. Soon to be homeward bound, departure at 6 pm. via Nexus 5X on Nougat 7.1.2 using Tapatalk, VPN secured. Mike Didn't bring my HDMI cable but a direct hookup to playback should be supported & the port is easily reached. It looked like the system will block Roku signal & I had my own WiFi hotspot but will play some more on way back, and update. USB port seemed to support music, videos and pictures being played on the 22" HDTV. via Nexus 5X on Nougat 7.1.2 using Tapatalk, VPN secured. Rare mking8288 Posted May 3, 2017 Author #122 Share Posted May 3, 2017 CruiseNext Deposits, newest T&C are that only balcony & higher, or B2B can use or apply 2 CND ... I know this hasn't always been the case, just FYI. Newest NCL cruises from NY as distributed, might be not so recent. via Nexus 5X on Nougat 7.1.2 using Tapatalk, VPN secured.
