PCWalton1 Posted May 14, 2017 Author #376 Share Posted May 14, 2017 Next up a fellow from Brazil who made a Ghostbusters video featuring the Radiance and some of the crew. When they had the judging the other day he won first place. After that a lady from Great Britain singing an Adele number. Finally a guy from the Philippines singing a Tim McGraw song. You could tell many of them were very nervous when the cruise director interviewed them but the all performed well in front of a packed house. Fun afternoon Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
PCWalton1 Posted May 15, 2017 Author #377 Share Posted May 15, 2017 Tonight we went to Giovanni' s for dinner to celebrate mother's day. An enjoyable dinner all round. Caprese salad for both of us and cioppino for me to start. We shared gnocchi to go with Marie's shrimp and my stuffed veal tenderloin Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
PCWalton1 Posted May 15, 2017 Author #378 Share Posted May 15, 2017 We finished off the meal with dessert and coffee. After a trip to the casino where I managed to cash in another $120 we headed back to the cabin to find the dessert fairy had struck again. travelgoddess1 Posted May 15, 2017 #379 Share Posted May 15, 2017 Wow, you had a big day yesterday! BTW, Marie looks great in green! The galley brunch looks like a nice event, I hope to eventually do that. I have heard that they have cut back on the types of rolls offered at dinner in the MDR -- have you found that to be true? Yes they have. No savory bites, no cheese rolls. They do a french roll, pumpkin seed, something with poppy seeds and occasionally sourdough, Oh yes and a dark sliced bread that I have never tried. I miss my cheese tolls. :(

Those were my favorite. I thought those were a staple of RCI that they would never get rid of.

prekteacher Posted May 15, 2017 #384 Share Posted May 15, 2017 Great live report! Really enjoying it. I am praying that the cheese rolls are still on Harmony! I live off them and Ceasar salad. Marie as always looks wonderful and as happy as ever. She puts a smile on my face whenever I see her in pictures. I have not been to Maui since 1994. How I would love to do this cruise. But i'm a little afraid of the small ships. Barbara

PCWalton1 Posted May 15, 2017 Author #386 Share Posted May 15, 2017 Today we had the opportunity to take a tour of the bridge. The tour is just 15 minutes and security checks you out will the metal detection wand. That makes for a funny story. Our tour was to start soon so security was doing the wand thing to each of us by the elevators on deck 10. Other people were passing and slowing down like they did at car wrecks. I yelled out " this is what happens when you steal silverware from Windjammer". Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

PCWalton1 Posted May 15, 2017 Author #389 Share Posted May 15, 2017 At noon we got to go to a Diamond plus lunch, first time for us. I can now say they're 2 for 2 on steaks for me this cruise. The ribeye I ordered yesterday and the New York today I ordered medium rare and both were well. Not even close. Guess I should be sending them back but I hate the wait. Overall the lunch was fantastic I thought I took a picture of the pork belly and shrimp but can't did it. That apple gelato was actually vanilla ice cream. Silver Sweethearts Posted May 15, 2017 #391 Share Posted May 15, 2017 How I would love to do this cruise. But i'm a little afraid of the small ships. Don't know if you are teasing or not. If not, do you really think a 90,000 ton ship with a guest capacity of 2,500 is small?
