mcrcruiser Posted May 5, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 5, 2017 We booked the Nov 30 ,2018 Southern Caribbean Cruise on Silhouette . When we tried to do the pre boarding paper work with our passport information ,etc . The web site sais we could not begin doing that pre boarding until Sept 1 ,2018 (We like to get those details out of the way as early as possible ) Talking with Captains Club representative the other day ,we recommended that Celebrity allow at least 6 months before any cruise date ;because their web site has been any thing but efficient for many years  What is your opinion to have additional time to do your pre boarding ? Will you also speak to a Captains Club representative about this issue ? Thinking that perhaps if enough customers recommend the 6 month lead time that Celebrity will change their time allowance:)
beloum Posted May 5, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 5, 2017 We cruise in Sept of 2017 and registration begins next month. So 3 months is what it is for us as well.

I usually don't do online check in until 45 days when I can request the luggage tags. No I won't speak to them. The current three months time is plenty. I believe this is right ... is it even available to fill out prior to final payment date??

mcrcruiser Posted May 5, 2017 Author #7 Share Posted May 5, 2017 The anticipation is about how Xs web site will be working,at the time of need is the question . Let us hope that there are no glitches & adequate time to register . We can always call the Captains Club & they do it for us ,if necessary :) Thanks for your replies:)

Fouremco Posted May 5, 2017 #9 Share Posted May 5, 2017 Three months is more than enough time. Whatever benefit would there be in doing at six months out? If six months would be better, would nine or twelve months be even better?
Legend355 Posted May 5, 2017 #10 Share Posted May 5, 2017 We are also on the Nov 26th 2017 Silhouette cruise and feel that the current window of time is plenty for the pre-boarding paperwork.
