I can't locate our rooms on a deck plan - should we be concerned?

Recommended Posts

I'm probably making some silly rookie mistake here....but before I call RC for the 5th time today, can someone help me? I just called and booked two adjoining OV staterooms on the Adventure of the Seas for next March. On our travel documents it says we are booked in rooms I-3710 & I-3712, but when I look on the deck plans those numbers are not listed anywhere - what gives?

At the moment, your rooms do not exist, but if you look at the deck plans on Royal Caribbean, there are two sets of plans, one before May 2018 and one after. Your rooms do exist on the later deck plans, so I imagine they are being added during dry dock

Adventure is going into dry dock. It sounds like you will be in new cabins that are being added.

OV cabins on deck 3 are being added? It sounds more like the re categorization of cabins may be the issue. The dry dock is not going to move.

Another drydock is planned for Jan 13 to Feb 10, 2018. During the dry-dock will be receiving all new enhancements, to include the addition of our specialty restaurant Izumi Japanese Cuisine, new inside and oceanview staterooms (highlighted in grey on deck plans) and a Suite Lounge

Same thing was done to Navigator and Liberty. With the roll out of digital photo centers on the ships, cabins have been added where walls of photos used to be. We put our kids in one of these cabins on the Nav when she came out of dry dock a couple of years ago.

Do I need to worry that our cruise is in March of 2018 and it's going into dry dock in May? Are they expecting it to be done early?

I can't tell you not to worry, but watch the news. There were people on my cruise late last month that booked rooms that didn't exist, those rooms were supposed to be added late in 2016, but weather caused the cancelation of the work. Keep an eye on the threads talking about Adventure's dry dock and if your not tied to those specific room and can change to something or else with little or no cost, might be worth if for piece of mine.

Yes but the cabins in question do not show up on the latest deck plans as of this AM.
