Question about MSC and Divna

I have been on 15 cruises, but this will be my first on MSC. In reading the web site and Cruise Critic, I need some clarification.

People talk about Pizza. Some have mentioned it is free, yet I saw a menu that they charge for Pizza. Am I missing something here?

I understand the Fantastica level gives you 12 pp drink tickets. I also get 12 pp with the promotion they are running. Those are specifically for the DR. Can the 12 that come with the level be used any where on the ship?

Has anyone pre-loaded their onboard account with the case they intend to spend? I understand and money through credit cards is charged through a Miami bank and not charged a foreign exchange rate is done before you get to the port, But once onboard anything on a credit card is charged through a Paris bank.

Are there any other helpful hints anyone can give me?

That ahead of time for your help. Peace and Aloha, Jim

The buffet area has a pizza section where there is free pizza, made freshly, available.

There is also a speciality dining venue, La Cantina di Bacco, which makes pizza to order at an extra cost.

You can load your account with cash if you so desire.

The drink coupons that come with Fantastica experience can be used throughout the ship. We were able to use them for alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, including smoothies and milkshakes, and gelato. There were some higher priced alcoholic drinks that were noted on the menus as being excluded from any drink coupons.

Have you looked into the status match that MSC offers? Take your highest other level with another cruise line (and/or possibly hotel chain) and you can submit to MSC to get a status level before the cruise.

Enjoy, it is a beautiful ship. The buffet pizza really is excellent; and also be sure to really go around the buffet as it is not very repetitive side to side and there are a lot of one off sections.

Jim the buffet pizza is free and it's the best at sea , there is a lounge that offers pizza pies and that is for $$. You can use the coupons anywhere.

I also suggest going all the way around the buffet - a lot of options - and especially upon embarkation when you go up to buffet for lunch - do not try and get a seat near the entrance - walk all the way to the back - there will be few people there and there are really nice tables that look outside - wish we would have known that.

Thanks all for answering the questions and I am always open to learning more. I can use anything you think is helpful.

L Maxwell, I have already taken advantage on my Platinum on Princess to match. Thanks for confirming. I read that on one of the threads here. I have learned a lot on CC about MSC. I had to call MSC four times just to clear up questions on information they had given me. Three different agents so I finally asked for a supervisor and got some straight answers, so I booked.

I am looking forward to the entertainment they have. It seems to have gone down hill on most lines recently. Live entertainment is a big part of why we cruise.

Just an idea of what to expect; a different production show each evening in the theater (30-45 minutes in length). Live music in 4-6 venues/lounges nightly. Movies by the pool and, at least on my last cruise, there was a theme week of afternoon and late night movies in the theater. (The theme on my cruise was Bogart). One day there will be an Italian opera in the theater, daytime, one show only. One night karaoke was done by the pool as well. I did not stay up late for the dance club but heard it went really late each night. Smoke free casino. If past is any indication there will not be any fly in comedians/jugglers/performers, etc.

Here is a hint; deck 7 is a main thoroughfare through the ship at night but it gets clogged up passing through the Golden Jazz bar. People forget there is an exterior promenade on both sides of deck 7 so you can walk there as well.
