Rare mooline Posted June 23, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 23, 2017 Getting ready to sail on Empress to Cuba; the checklist is done and I'm starting to tick things off. Yay! Although we've cruised a bit over the years, it's been a while since the last one. And, this is our first time on RCCL. So, super smart CC'ers, I ask you this: What is the one thing that I've most likely overlooked? Set Sail - check Passports - check Signed Affidavits - check Sunscreen - check Bug spray - check Electronics and chargers - check Books on iPad - check Extension cord/multiplug adapter - check Hair dryer - check Spending $$ (in small bills for exchange) - check Thank you cards/envelopes for extra staff tips - check Hat - check Clothes - check Toothpaste- check Toiletries/Meds - check Small backpack for excursions - check Sunglasses - check Rain slicker - check Tylenol/Immodium/Tums/Bonine/etc - check Smile - check Thanks to all for your help! KiwiGal117 Posted June 23, 2017 #14 Share Posted June 23, 2017 Get the magnets with hooks. Great for holding papers to the wall but also hanging hats, wet bathing suits (put hook on ceiling), tote bags, etc. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Grandma Dazzles Posted June 23, 2017 #19 Share Posted June 23, 2017 Two bottles of wine - now allowed per cabin. Pack in carryon so you don't get sent to the naughty room. Not sure if I would take extension cord/adapter. Often confiscated.
kccrzr Posted June 23, 2017 #20 Share Posted June 23, 2017 Thermal mug to enjoy a leisurely coffee on the pool deck, weather permitting.
Grandma Dazzles Posted June 23, 2017 #21 Share Posted June 23, 2017 Pen - not always supplied. Ziplock bags are useful for wet swimsuits and just in general. I pack a lot of clothing in ziplock bags and then put bag straight in the drawer. I also like a sports bottle/all purpose mug for water, lemonade (don't fill from sprocket - use a glass); or for coffee if you like to have a big mug of coffee. Beachammo Posted June 23, 2017 #22 Share Posted June 23, 2017 Hydrogen Peroxide Wipes... We always wipe down the room first thing. I know the rest of the ship is a bacteria machine....but at least our cabin can be tidy. Sent from my VS995 using Tapatalk
Sobro Posted June 23, 2017 #23 Share Posted June 23, 2017 Leave the hair dryer at home. There's a ship-approved one in a drawer in your cabin.
