Melady Posted June 24, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 24, 2017 I use Montreal Steak Seasoning on just about everything (instead of salt & pepper). Can I bring an unopened plastic container onboard to use?
miataman19 Posted June 24, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 24, 2017 Should not be a problem. I bring on Old Bay seasoning all the time. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Forums mobile app
garycarla Posted June 24, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 24, 2017 Nobody is even going to notice you have it. But, just in case someone does... make sure it is in the original container. Really though, unless it was a large size and might look like booze on the xray - no problem.
Loonbeam Posted June 24, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 24, 2017 Do note that technically you may not be allowed to bring it back OFF ship (customs dogs will have a field day alerting)

Open or sealed, you can take it both on to the ship and off the ship.
Jonny C Posted June 24, 2017 #6 Share Posted June 24, 2017 I use Montreal Steak Seasoning on just about everything (instead of salt & pepper). Can I bring an unopened plastic container onboard to use? I do it all the time. I take the same Montreal Steak Spice - a smaller "travel" size. I also take it home. Never had any issues with the ship customs or otherwise.
Melady Posted June 24, 2017 Author #7 Share Posted June 24, 2017 SO EXTREMELY HAPPY! I don't leave home without my Montreal, and so happy that I can sail with it also. Thank you all for the responses!! Ready to sail in 6 days!!
Kwaj girl Posted June 25, 2017 #8 Share Posted June 25, 2017 Sambal Oelek for us. Got turned on to that many years ago when our Indonesian waiter on HAL introduced us to it. Usually available only in the crew mess so we bring our own. Hot and very flavorful stuff! Google it.

Ironworker808 Posted June 25, 2017 #16 Share Posted June 25, 2017 I was wondering about this, only I want to bring my own honey for coffee and tea. Yes, I know honey is provided, but I'm wanting to use honey from my bees, in my backyard. Think a one pound squeeze bottle would be okay? Or maybe several 2oz. 'Baby Bears'? triptolemus Posted June 25, 2017 #17 Share Posted June 25, 2017 I am currently re-designing my portable microbrew kit so I can brew my own beer on board. Unfortunately, I will only be able to make small batches at a time, but if I tend it constantly, I should be able to keep my own supply of beer on hand for the duration of the voyage. I will post a complete review with pictures when I return in a few weeks.

Can I bring an unopened plastic container onboard to use? Your signature indicates you've been sailing for many years, including on NCL. And you mention you don't leave home without it. Why is this suddenly a concern? Is there something that has happened recently with this product? ??
