tropicalkerry2002 Posted August 29, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 29, 2017 Hi Kit151, Why don't you join our roll call? http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2425122 see you on the ship!
JMBobB Posted August 29, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 29, 2017 Yup, you sure can. After boarding Sirena last July in Lisbon I remembered I'd left some things at the Intercontinental Hotel. Grabbed ships ID and wallet and raced off the ship to recover them. Hotel staff were great! Forty minutes after racing down the gangway I was wheezing back up it belongings in hand. Lots o'luck on the inflight nap thingy. JMBobB Sent from my iPad using Forums
Rare ORV Posted August 29, 2017 #6 Share Posted August 29, 2017 Only place we've ever embarked that we weren't allowed off the ship after boarding was Sydney.

TERRIER1 Posted August 29, 2017 #8 Share Posted August 29, 2017 When do they have the lifeboat drill? We had the muster at 5:30 pm on our June cruise that sailed at 11 pm from Monte Carlo.
Rare LHT28 Posted August 29, 2017 #9 Share Posted August 29, 2017 When do they have the lifeboat drill? Most have been at 5:15 to 5:30 pm unless the ship is sailing earlier then about 45 min prior to sail away
susiesan Posted August 29, 2017 #10 Share Posted August 29, 2017 I will be on this sailing Oct. 25 and plan to take a walk along the shore after dinner before sailing at 11:00pm.
warburg Posted August 29, 2017 #11 Share Posted August 29, 2017 Greetings from South Beach, Susisesan. Barcelona is the pickpocket capital of Europe, and the pickpockets are where tourists are. When you walk along the shore,be careful. Las Ramblas is a popular venue for crime. Enjoy yourself. It is a beautiful city. We spent several days there in April, after we left Regent's Explorer. Mary Yes, I know that about Barcelona. We have visited Barcelona before and although we didn't have any trouble with pickpockets we were forewarned and prepared. We will be at a B&B for 2 nights before the cruise. I don't expect to be on Las Ramblas much, maybe just one stroll up and down.

Rare pinotlover Posted August 30, 2017 #14 Share Posted August 30, 2017 Same as ORV. Sidney is to only place that once you Board ship, we weren't allowed off again. In Sidney, check your bags in and leave! Don't board until as late as possible.
Kit151 Posted August 30, 2017 Author #15 Share Posted August 30, 2017 Thx for all the confirmations and about the pickpocketing. I'd like to put something that looks like a phone in my back pocket with a note inside that says "ha ha" when they find it is worthless, but that might cause more problems. LOL I've decided if I am rested I will take the HOHO bus for the afternoon. A good way to see an overview of the city.
