When you get to southampton and the porters take your luggage and your luggage appears in your cabin later do they take your suit carriers or do you take them with you. As you can see im a clueless first time cruiser

Not exactly sure what you mean by "suit carriers." (probably a UK/US usage quirk) If it's a zippered piece of luggage which could be checked on an airline, they'll take it. If it's a handheld suit on a hangar in a plastic bag, probably not.

We always send my husband's suit carrier with the cases at both ends. It is just a simple carrier like the bottom one above but that folds in half and has clips at the sides. Never been a problem in the last 14 cruises.
