gsrunyan Posted September 3, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 3, 2017 My wife and I are going on a back-to-back cruise in the fall of 2018. Our TA has provided us with a nice amount of OBC on each segment. If we don't use all of the the OBC on the first segment, can we use the balance on the second segment of the cruise? Thanks Glenn:cool:
Karynanne Posted September 3, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 3, 2017 No. Each cruise is separate. Your account will be settled and a new Seapass card will be issued, with a new folio number. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
jelayne Posted September 3, 2017 #3 Share Posted September 3, 2017 If the OBC is truly from your TA and not Celebrity it may be refundable. In that case any unused OBC will be refunded back to your credit. Ask your TA if the OBC is refundable
phoenix_dream Posted September 3, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 3, 2017 I agree with Jelayne but I have found that sometimes when I ask the TA they are unsure. As a general rule if OBC is from the TA it is refunded if not used at the end of the cruise. If you use a credit card as most do, it will be refunded to that card, although I have had success a couple times actually asking for (and receiving) cash but I think that is the exception. swigso Posted September 4, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 4, 2017 Just cash it out at the casino, I know it's 5% charge But you only lose $5 per $100 you can then spend it anywhere not just on board

If you have onboard credit, the casino will only give you promo on your card to play in machines or promo chips. You can only cash out winnings after that. Karynanne Posted September 4, 2017 #7 Share Posted September 4, 2017 If you have "refundable" OBC, and haven't used it, it will be credited back to the credit card that is connected with your Seapass account. geospyder Posted September 4, 2017 #8 Share Posted September 4, 2017 On another B2B subject - check with your TA to verify that you received the Celebrity B2B discount - $50 per person per cruise.

AlbertaCruisers Posted September 4, 2017 #11 Share Posted September 4, 2017 Never had a problem getting cash, when did this come in I don't remember exactly. Sometime in 2016 for sure, maybe earlier? Some people have reported mistakes since and still getting cash, but this is definitely the new rule. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Wiltonian Posted September 4, 2017 #12 Share Posted September 4, 2017 More recent suggestions have suggested putting half your surplus OBC on red and half on black at roulette. The chance of losing it all is around 5%, so 95% of the time you keep all your money, but 5% of people doing this will lose the lot. You takes your chances . . . . Rare cruisestitch Posted September 4, 2017 #13 Share Posted September 4, 2017 Swigso, sadly that advice is out of date. No longer can OBC be withdrawn for a fee.

Double zero roulette is the worst bet in a casino. One out of every nineteen people will lose all their money following this advice. Cruise ships would allow people to use their OBC like this forever. A better option would be slot machines. You only have to play up to the amount of your OBC. Whatever is left is yours to keep, win, lose, or draw. Just keep track of your accumulated bets. Obviously, the casinos will still save money like this in the long run. You might win a few bucks or lose a few this way, but no one will lose all of their money this way.
