bob brown Posted September 19, 2017 #41 Share Posted September 19, 2017 How about a sub-category for "sail-away" music while on a cruise? For example, Crystal plays "What A Wonderful World"... Cunard plays Rod Stewart's "I Am Sailing"...HAL plays the instrumental version of it... And on any NCL ship departing from NYC, when they pass by The Statue, They always play Lee Greeenwood's "God Bless The USA".... :)
Moonarino Posted September 19, 2017 #42 Share Posted September 19, 2017 "Island in the sun" by Weezer ... And see below. Kokomo by the Beach Boys. About 2 years ago we both kind of zoned on that one and it's been our 'cruise song' ever since Straight up or remix? ;) As for me, any one of the five songs below might stir a cruising frame of mind, coz they're all part of the soundtrack of this 18-minute "Cozumel 2014 Tour" biker video: (Anybody recognize the road from about 5:10 on? Or anything else?) Steppenwolf - Born To Be Wild Tom Petty - Runnin' Down a Dream Rolling Stones - Hate To See You Go Trooper - We're Here for a Good Time (Not a Long Time) Weezer - Island In the Sun Lots of great songs listed here. And kudos to beachbum53 for starting this topic on a Monday! Lol.

Rare Keith1010 Posted September 20, 2017 #44 Share Posted September 20, 2017 What a wonderful world. This is played when we leave most ports sailing with Crystal Cruises so when we hear it on land we are reminded of cruising. Keith

jordanaire Posted September 20, 2017 #50 Share Posted September 20, 2017 "RED, RED WINE" was the first song that we ever heard aboard a cruise ship. It was sung by "Kooshall". I have many songs loaded onto my cellphone that I play while sitting out on the Lido deck. But this song is my favorite cruise song.
