Joelster123 Posted September 23, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2017 Has anyone received one of these from the Casino? I have just returned from a Brilliance of the Seas cruise and earned enough points for a free cruise but only redeemed it on the last night but didn't receive the voucher. I spoke to the guest services just before checking out and they said that I would just have to mention it when I book my next cruise but I'd prefer some information first. I have emailed them, but just wondering if anyone else has got a free cruise from such a thing, and how long was it for? And did you receive a paper voucher outside your room or did they email? Thanks

Thanks Hi We have always received the voucher. Sometimes the casino host would hand it to us the last night in the casino. The last few cruises it was left in our cabin the last night. You should call them and check. Surprising that you didn't receive the voucher. Noreen Sent from my iPhone using Forums
queenfrostine22 Posted September 23, 2017 #3 Share Posted September 23, 2017 I usually find it on my door the night before or morning of disembarkation. however, one time on oasis it never arrived. casino royale did have it on record when i called them a few weeks later to book and all went smoothly. gigglets Posted September 23, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 23, 2017 Out of curiosity, how much do you have to gamble at the casino to get a free cruise?
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted September 23, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 23, 2017 We also got a free balcony cruise and received the voucher this past May on the Harmony....you need the voucher for two reasons, one there is a code on it and gives you the lists of cruises your able to take but two, we were told we must present the voucher upon check in at the cruise, we chose the Oasis for October 29. I would give you a copy of my voucher but there is a much updated one, perhaps you can get hold of it so you can see what is available.

Hi :) Received the first 2 certificates last week, so they're very recent. Ocean view Balcony Stateroom Inside Stateroom Received Balcony Stateroom certificate last month The way CR keeps changing their program it may not be worth getting a certificate anymore. CR is now saying when you apply a certificate to an existing booked cruise, they will reprice your cruise. So, if your cetificate is for $500 and your cruise has gone up $400, what are you really gaining. Daghis Posted September 23, 2017 #13 Share Posted September 23, 2017 For slot players, you earn 1 point for every $5 wagered. Video poker players earn 1 point for every $10 wagered. I don't know how points are earned for table players, and from what I hear, that's more subjective by the pit boss than accurate. You can get a free cruise starting at 2,400 points. That'll get you an inside cabin. A cruise in an oceanview cabin will be given at 3,600 points, and a balcony cabin is 4,800 points. For slot machines, that means at least $12,000 wagered for that inside cabin certificate. Note that this is not money lost in the casino as many of the spins will win at least something, perhaps a lot. Assuming 85% payout on the machines, the theoretical loss would be around $1,800. Thanks , that's helpful 85% payout .. never for me more like 0, maybe have to start with a large bankroll and ride out losing streaks ..

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Why would you apply this certificate to and existing cruise? the certificate you received is good for a free cruise that is listed on back of certificate and you ONLY pay for port taxes and tips. And if you don't like any cruises you can redeem the certificate for another cruise of you choice with a credit of $1000.00 for balcony, $750.00 for ocean view and $500.00 for inside. We just booked 3 cruises and only paid a total of $600.00 and all are a balcony cabins
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted September 23, 2017 #17 Share Posted September 23, 2017 Hey Linda there you are! I am really hoping the list get extended to at least April, my brother/sister in law wants to go on our next cruise with them so trying to feel out which sailing it be, we were hoping for April yikes, but can't complain free is free. :D

We just booked 3 cruises and only paid a total of $600.00 and all are a balcony cabins I am very well aware of how the certificates/program works. Of course, if there's a sailing on the certificate that I'm interested in, I book it. Just came off of a free cruise last week and going back on another free cruise next month, both sailings were on a certificate. Of course, to get the best bang out of those certificates is to book one of those sailings on the cert. One reason I apply my certificates to existing cruises is became I don't like the sailings offered on the certificates. If those sail dates and departure ports work for people then the certificate sailings are a good deal for many. Forgot to mention, CR is now telling us they will no longer give casino rates when booking a new cruise if you have a certificate. If you don't have a certificate, they will give you some kind of a casino rate discount, but no where near the dollar amount of discounts they use to give us. Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted September 23, 2017 #19 Share Posted September 23, 2017 Much rather have a certificate than get a discount lol. Question, when somebody takes a short cruise that would mean you have to gamble more to qualify for a complimentary cruise than if taking a long cruise you have more days to qualify for one? I hope I make sense lol

I hope I make sense lol It makes sense to me and you are correct, if you take a short cruise, you would have to gamble more if you want a specific certificate amount, which is why I like longer sailings :D Hey Linda there you are! I see you're leaving on the 29th, I'm leaving again on the 21st, so I'll have additional info again for you before you leave for your cruise :D My friend left today and she'll be back on Thursday so I'll update you once I hear from her next week. Joelster123 Posted September 24, 2017 Author #23 Share Posted September 24, 2017 Thanks everybody, it was pretty much the very last minute that I earned enough points to redeem so it might have been to late to deliver it so I'll wait to see what they say. Either that or the kids next door who liked to take my Do Not Disturb sign decided they'd like the voucher too :D

The current certificates still have sailings until the end of March :( I'll check again with the Host and will know the current sailings before you leave on your cruise. I'll post the info on the thread below instead of this one as there are more CR members on that thread and they're looking for the same information too. Have a good day :) Copy and paste the link below. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2225432&page=
