easyboy Posted September 25, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 25, 2017 1st formal night usually on 1st sea day. 2nd formal night usually 2 or 3 days before end of cruise. 3rd formal night in between. Actual dates are usually indicated on cruise itinerary printed on page 2 of embarkation Patter Sent from my iPhone using Forums
skynight Posted September 25, 2017 #3 Share Posted September 25, 2017 Does anyone know when these 3 formal nights would be on the cruise to Hawaii on Dec. 19th, also would anyone have a copy of what they serve in the main dining rooms for the cruises When you board the Princess Patter will be in your cabin. It will list the formal nights. My best guess for two of them will be the first sea day, Dec 20th, and New Year's Eve. The other formal night will be a sea day either before or after you visit Hawaii.
LarryL Posted September 25, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 25, 2017 On our Feb cruise we had two. I just checked my Patters and the first was the evening of the first full sea day and the second was the first sea day after leaving Hawaii. Enjoy your cruise. :)
RSF Cruiser Posted September 25, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 25, 2017 We did a 15 day Panama Canal cruise over the holidays last year and the first formal night was the first sea day, the next one was Christmas Day, and the third one was New Years Eve. We went through the Panama Canal on Christmas Day, so it was a bit rushed after being out all day watching us traverse the canal. We're taking a Hawaii cruise over the 2018/2019 winter holidays, and figured it would be a similar schedule; it's really up to the cruise director. I'm interested in what happens this year, since we are in port on Christmas Day.

I posted most of the dining room menus on a review I did of the trip.
