sanger727 Posted September 27, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 27, 2017 No. I cruise for the itinerary, not the ship. And there's no need for them to offer this. Many are simply re-routing to a western itinerary. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

LadyBeBop Posted September 27, 2017 #8 Share Posted September 27, 2017 Unless this was out of Vancouver or Barbados, this can't be done, unless its extremely last minute. Would I book a cruise with no ports of call? I don't think so. Going to different places is one reason why we cruise. Just hopeful our October cruise has some semblance of an Eastern Caribbean cruise. First time ever sailing Eastern, and we're booked for Western in April. Havingfun2010 Posted September 27, 2017 #10 Share Posted September 27, 2017 I would, but it would be on a ship with extremely good entertainment and activities, so Carnival would be the last company I would do it with.
mgasaway Posted September 27, 2017 #11 Share Posted September 27, 2017 nope. I cruise for the ports. Only way is if it was free.
SkyMaster Posted September 27, 2017 #12 Share Posted September 27, 2017 For me, the ship is the destination, so YES, I'd hop aboard in a heart beat. As a matter of fact, many years ago we used to have cruises out of Tampa that went NOWHERE. They weren't seven days, but shorter cruises, and we had a lot of fun aboard. They'd go out into the Gulf of Mexico, and go North for a period of time, then turn around and go South. "SKY"
maryred Posted September 27, 2017 #13 Share Posted September 27, 2017 YES I would, if it wasn't illegal for the cruise lines to offer these KNOWINGLY from USA departure ports.

Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted September 27, 2017 #15 Share Posted September 27, 2017 YES DEFINATELY....we go on cruises in hopes for high winds and hurricanes so we can miss ports, I'm bad lol
Floating Lanai Posted September 27, 2017 #16 Share Posted September 27, 2017 If it was a 7 Day with ports changed to a 7 day with no ports I would pass. We were scheduled on the 8 day eastern Vista during Irma, they moved it to a 4 or 5 day Cozumel and we opted not to go, booked a Vista Southern next month instead. The itinerary is probably #1 when deciding to book, then scheduling and the ship round out 2 & 3, for us at least
Blondie419ag Posted September 27, 2017 #17 Share Posted September 27, 2017 YES DEFINATELY....we go on cruises in hopes for high winds and hurricanes so we can miss ports, I'm bad lol Instead of hoping for a hurricane, you could just stay on the ship :) I've stayed on the ship during some port days (mostly Nassau haha) and it's been quite enjoyable, less people at the pools! I love sea days but I think I might get a little restless if the weather wasn't good. I did a Boston to Bermuda cruise a couple years ago and we were delayed arriving into Bermuda and didn't have good weather (no bad rocking, just rain) so my friends and I were dying to get off the ship. brepri_h Posted September 27, 2017 #18 Share Posted September 27, 2017 Totally! It would depend on the ship for me though!
riffatsea Posted September 27, 2017 #19 Share Posted September 27, 2017 No! We wouldn't do that ever! For the same reason I'd not do a transAtlantic cruise or even a cruise to Hawaii with 5 sea days. I'd fly to those places and visit on land. We like to relax on sea days but not soooo many of them!
bar1068 Posted September 27, 2017 #20 Share Posted September 27, 2017 Would absolutely do a 7 day no port cruise...or 10 days or 14 days or.....Love sea days......give me the sun...blue ocean and whatever I feel like drinking, Im a happy camper....TA's come closest to this for us.
