maureencruiser Posted October 4, 2017 #703 Share Posted October 4, 2017 We're gonna need a wide angle lens for this caption contest picture. ;p I vote for the lion screams tonight in the previous contest. Whatever religious cult was in there was not happy with me doing a drive by with my camera. Honey, that's probably Alcoholics Anonymous, that's why they're not pleased with the camera. Sent from my iPad using Forums This is CLR's fan club from the first few pages -- without their matching shirts. They are practicing throwing money at him to get him to dance, and possibly remove his Chubbies. They'll even wear a lion costume.

maureencruiser Posted October 4, 2017 #706 Share Posted October 4, 2017 Since I'm finally awake, I wanted to go back a few days. We had a few mishaps getting off in Labadee. One of us got detained by security. I don't want to reveal who, but whoever it was used my camera to take this photo. Finally, they let m̶e̶ whoever it was, out on parole. I slept my way through this photo shoot. Our view from our spot. Rhonda, looking pretty. You can see me starting to fall asleep here. For some reason, Rhonda found that hilarious. maureencruiser Posted October 4, 2017 #707 Share Posted October 4, 2017 We asked our cabin steward for some wine glasses, since we just weren't drinking enough. Speaking of our steward, we have had several things w̶e̶ ̶p̶r̶o̶b̶a̶b̶l̶y̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶g̶o̶t̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶p̶a̶c̶k̶ ̶ go missing from our cabin including my razor, a ziplock bag of bandaids and a hot pink pair of Rhonda's "drawers". ;p We have decided that our steward has pilfered them and is probably sitting in his cabin in the "drawers", shaving his legs and covering the cuts with the bandaids. At one point, we also thought he had made away with a pair of tweezers, but, we found those. Obviously, due to the high value of these items, we have demanded a free cruise and his immediate dismissal. :loudcry: We found the roving piano man out on the Boardwalk. He was playing the theme from Titanic.

maureencruiser Posted October 4, 2017 #709 Share Posted October 4, 2017 My situation with the missing razor is getting critical. If you hear reports of a sasquatch on the loose in the Caribbean, relax, it's just me. In Falmouth, we found a restaurant that pronounces yard, the way I pronounce yard. They serve a mean mango daiquiri. Back on the ship, we found the piano man in the elevator again. If you awaken early, you might be lucky enough to spot the ancient seafaring giraffes of the Serengeti. While Rhonda slept in, Heather thought the best course of action was to start drinking early. Last night at the Red Party, I enjoyed a cringe inducing medley of White Zinfandel, Fireball and John Collins.

maureencruiser Posted October 4, 2017 #712 Share Posted October 4, 2017 Not to be outdone by my horrendous mixing of drinks, Heather followed up her Bloody Mary immediately with a Cafe Mocha. Maybe cast iron stomachs run in the family. Something, or someone is calling the giraffe to the Boardwalk. Mama, is that you? Reunited and it feels so good. Alas, my mission to ride the giraffe with my giraffe was thwarted. They were closing, but, she let me run on to take this picture. Life goal delayed, we went on to lunch in the MDR.

maureencruiser Posted October 4, 2017 #715 Share Posted October 4, 2017 Lunch in the MDR was good, I had Shrimp Risotto. Heather had Heirloom Tomato Salad. And, I topped it off with lasagna. Maybe I should have had some Fireball with it? I also bought the 10 drink card, but, unlike Courtney, I understood that I didn't have to drink all 10 drinks last night. Shout out to Dale, Mr Fun in the Sun, for letting me know today is National Vodka Day. For anyone who misses his reviews here, know that I lobbied hard to get him to join this cruise. He was supposed to go to Cuba a few weeks ago, but, his cruise was cancelled because of the hurricane. On the way out, they had some nice desserts.
maureencruiser Posted October 4, 2017 #716 Share Posted October 4, 2017 After lunch, my sleeping sickness was apparently contagious. Now, back to my giraffe quest. Oh, Hell, no! I will knock a bitch out! I was close to sneaking him on , but, I kept my cool, calm demeanor. They had actually told me I couldn't take him on, because he was a hazard. They understood he wasn't a real, live full size giraffe, right? Then, one of the attendants said "Well, people do take their phones and cameras on." Luckily, cooler heads prevailed and I was given the OK to take him. I could barely contain my excitement. When the attendant came around to make sure everyone was "strapped in". she said, "Oh, a giraffe on the giraffe, I get it". As we say back in Massachusetts, "The light shines on Marblehead". Somehow, despite our hours of planning, I don't think Heather understood the seriousness of this quest. Satisfied, we returned to the cabin and let the Giraffe take a well earned rest. He doesn't have a name yet, we've been calling him Baby Huey, at Rhonda's suggestion, but, I'm leaning towards Fireball.
