Allure Of the Seas Star Class Royal Genie Question

Recommended Posts

We will be in a 2BR ATS in November and a week ago we filled out our questionnaire for Genie Services. At the end it said the Genie will contact us about 2 weeks out from sail date. Is this when we will need to make all of our show reservations and set up for our bridge tour? I was looking at the cruise planner and some days and times that i would originally want are not available. Also when our Genie contacts us 2 weeks out will be able to still get a OTW Cabana in Labadee, my wife really wants one of those? Lastly, at the 2 week point will we be able to make our dinner reservations for specialty restaurants? I am concerned that we will have to settle for show dates and times as well as for restaurants. Concerning specialty dining, Can you eat at say Chops for Lunch and Dinner and can you order multiple entrees like in the main dining room? This will be our first time on RC and first time in any level suite. Any help would be greatly appreciated, been trying to make sure we are well prepared.

Don’t worry about anything! Just tell your Genie which restaurant you want to eat, when and time. You can eat anything you want including the surcharge items (they are all included), even Chef’s Table. You can reserve any show you want and you will have “front row” seats. The Genie will arrange a bridge tour for you on a sea day.

Unfortunately, the OTW cabanas were damaged during hurricane Irma and they might not be repaired by then. But the hill top cabanas are available and your Genie will be able to get you one.

Wow. Lots going on here.

Full disclosure: I've never sailed Star class with a Genie. However , as a Sky class guest in May I emailed the conceiege requesting an OTW cabana and he told me that they were already reserved and I would be given a hilltop and waitlisted for an OTW. Upon boarding he showed me the waitlist and all the OTW's were pre-reserved with just the Genie's name. So I'm guessing that you will have your OTW cabana waiting for you. You willl need to let your genie know that you want it though.

There were a few people that declined so I did clear the waitlist and got the OTW. It is worth it!

As far as shows, you should be able to make your own reservations now. If you don't want to do it yourself, no worries as all suite guests have seats set aside for them at every show, exception being the comedy club. Just make sure you show up to the shows no less than 15 prior as they'll let nonnsuite guests into those seats at 10 prior.

I can't help you with the specialty dining as I'm not sure how that works with the genies, but given the amount of people I've seen in specialty dining whenever I've gone or when I sit at trellis bar in the evenings, I don't think you're going to have a problem here.

Enjoy Star Class, maybe one day I can give it a go :)

Sounds Great, Thanks for the info! I wonder why no seats set aside for the comedy show.

Your Genie will work with you in setting up a schedule for dining and shows. For shows they will reserve your seats and escort you to them.

On Anthem I had pre planned the shows, just say our Genie threw out that plan. No objections, other than one show it worked out fine. For non reserved shows, I'm sure if asked he would have reserved seats.

TonyL128 is absolutely correct. Quit worrying about anything.

You will have everything and anything you want (with the possible exception of the OTW cabana for reason already discussed). We've had the 2 BR ATS 3 times now and you will love the rooms, the service and the whole experience.

When your Genie contacts you directly you can let him/her know if you already have specific requests for dining or entertainment but you don't have to worry if you don't know exactly what you want or need yet. Possibly the only thing you might want to reserve right away (besides the cabana) would be the escape room since availability for that is somewhat limited. As Star Class, you get first dibs on any reservation on the ship so you will not be disappointed. As far as [ship] tours go, I have found that those are becoming less available lately. On our first Star Class experience we were offered all of the backstage venues (entertainment, food service and bridge) but on our last 2 (same ship - Harmony) we were only offered the bridge tour even though we are D+ in addition to being Star Class. We have done the bridge tour many times so we declined that offer but chances are, you will receive that invitation onboard.

Bottom line - don't worry about what the cruise planner says. You are outside of any of those restrictions. Your Genie will take care of everything.

And DON'T fail to have meals in your suite ! The outside (or inside !) dining in the 2 BR ATS is spectacular. Take advantage of it. You will be able to have room service from the MDR or any specialty restaurant you wish (as long as the restaurant is open at the time you want your food delivered. No lobster at 2 AM !) so take advantage of it. Breakfasts are particularly enjoyable since it won't have gotten unbearably hot outside yet.

Star Class comes with unlimited water, soda and beer in your suite so make sure the Genie knows what you like to drink and he/she will have it stocked for you when you get there.

My wife and I are on the Allure right now in a Star Class suite. The comedy show was the only thing I reserved ahead of time. However, our genie, Frankie who is awesome, reserved us seats in the comedy club venue and we went in before everyone else...we just got back from the show and it was great!

We were on Allure in Sky class. Genies had reserved seats for Star Class in comedy club. I could be wrong but I suspect that even if you didn't pre-book, your genie will reserve a place if you let him/her know.

In the theatre, there were specially reserved seats for Star Class and Genies were present. From what I saw, you could turn up just before the start of the show and still get your seat. There was no need to turn up 10 minutes before.

We sailed Star Class last year and our Genie took care of everything. In our email we shared the places and times we wanted to eat, and the shows we wanted to see, and she had everything set up for us when we boarded. We changed one of our reservations at the last minute, my husband wasn't feeling great so wanted something delivered to the room, and she was able to get us into the restaurant we wanted the next day with no issue.

We were on Ovation, and she scheduled the iFly and North Star for us. She met us at each event, and took pictures of us.

Our Genie was amazing, and we loved our Star Class experience. Enjoy!!

Our Genie knew the times and places we would be eating dinner (since she made the reservations and had our schedule) and would drop by to see us and confirm our evening plans. She would verify if we were going to attend the evening show and would meet us at the theatre with reserved seats (front row) Star Class is fantastic and has kept us cruising when we were ready to give it a break for awhile. I cant say enough good things about the experience.

We are going on the Allure in December in a star class suite.

Can you tell me if the ice cream from the scoops shop is included.

Yes, the ice cream is included. The absolute only thing that I could find that was NOT included were the pastries in Starbucks. All of the Starbucks drinks are included but not the pastries, for some reason. Everything else ? YEP I have heard others say that the wine pairing at 150 Central Park was not included on some of the other ships but it was included for us on Harmony. We didn't get it, but it would have been included if we had wanted it.

We are on Ovation In Grand Loft Suite do the same genie terms apply as you have stated. Told but not From RCI we have all specialty resturants Chefs table etc are included. I really don't think all these things are included but will see once on board.

Any Information before Genie is in touch would be good.

The Grand Loft Suite on Ovation is Star class and all specialty dining would be included.

On Ovation Star class benefits are only available on sailings from Sydney and Singapore.

Star class guests get priority everything. Cabana will be reserved for you and if you don’t want them released for other suite guests if they desire. Regarding lunch, you have a private suite restaurant open the day of embarkation. not sure about other speciality restaurants. You cannot for example order two main courses in specialty restaurants. However you can order a half order of pasta as a side with your main course. Enjoy your cruise!

You will have to pay for the cabana but they will be shaved for Star Class guests. The wine for chefs table is an extra but the meal is free. Other wise almost anything goes, except for the snacks at Starbucks. The coffee is free though.

As Ourusualbeach sail though some of Ovations cruises are exempt.

We were in a Sky Loft Suite with Star Class Service on Ovation last November, and all of the Specialty Restaurants were included free of charge, with the only exception being a $25 per person charge for the wine pairing at the Chef's Table.

Our Genie Wendy was phenomenal, and we were truly spoiled while on Ovation!!! We will definitely miss that level of service on future cruises.
