blondie151o Posted October 12, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 12, 2017 Hello. Cruising March 1 from Jacksonville. Going to Nassau and Freeport. Wondering how the weather will be? And also on the ship.. too cold to use the ship pool/ walk around in bathing suits? I've only cruised in May & October. easyboy Posted October 12, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 12, 2017 We were in the Caribbean last March and we all had a nice time swimming in the pool and the beach. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
OCruisers Posted October 12, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 12, 2017 Since you'll be going to the Bahamas (not the Caribbean), the water temperatures can be quite chilly.

What about on the ship as well? Is it more a bring some jeans and long sleeve trip or can we walk around comfortably in our swimsuits on the boat ? Krazy Kruizers Posted October 12, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 12, 2017 We are not jean people. On a cruise that doesn't go down into the Caribbean waters where it is warmer, we do wear slacks around the ship. If you are sailing on a ship that has a retractable cover over the pool, then you can wear swim suits to that area.

There is just no way to tell, and you need to realize that you don't go that far south. The best thing you have that moderates the temperatures is the Gulf Stream.
