Grand Cayman do they tender in?

I am trying to plan some gold and need to know how long it takes to get off the ship in Grand Cayman. Do they have to tender you in, or do we just walk right off the ship onto the dock? If they tender you in, how long does it take to get to the dock?

The duration of the tender ride depends on which position you anchor at. But the ride itself is not too long. The line to get on a tender can be very long.

There are 2 fenced in areas you can tender to that are about a block apart. The area right outside is smack downtown with all the normal shops, food places, etc. and a generally very safe area.

Be aware that when you return to the ship, the lines to get back on at the deadline can be huge

We did one time tender to a location abut 5 miles from downtown. We then had to use a $5 shuttle bus to get us to town. That location was because it was better sheltered from wind and choppy ocean that day. All other times we have tendered right into downtown.
