Courier95 Posted October 15, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 15, 2017 How long before departure date do excursions appear in the cruise planner section? Considering a Mediterranean cruise. Thanks.
CHEZMARYLOU Posted October 15, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 15, 2017 Our November & December 2018 cruises have shore excursions listed. They've been available for at least a month, maybe longer.

SargassoPirate Posted October 16, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 16, 2017 Read the descriptions very, very carefully. Then print a copy and carry on the cruise with you. On a recent cruise we booked an excursion that was "City XYZ by Train"....not a word that the train was only one way and the return was by a two-hour bus ride. We weren't the only people on the excursion surprised by the bus ride. Complaints on-board and to Celebrity were to no avail. Next time we are booking our excursions through the travel department of our big box warehouse club - where we book our cruises since their website actually works. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
Rare hcat Posted October 17, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 17, 2017 Also, beware that photos do not always match what you will ride on... We booked what we thought (based on the photo shown ) would be a nice size open air trolley for a wine tasting tour in Santa Barbara., Ca..Turned out it was a large bus.. lots more people.. It was a great tour but they should not be using the photo shown on Celeb Excursion website....or they should have a disclaimer about the vehicle. GottaKnowWhen Posted October 17, 2017 #6 Share Posted October 17, 2017 When you say “small group” I think maybe 10-12 persons. When Celebrity Excursions says small group, that means apparently that they couldn’t fill the whole bus. Our Athens tour was ok but I had expected a small group. Because that is what the brochure said. Is 25-30 people with one guide really a small group experience? Oh well.
