Purchasing local currency on board

If you want to buy local currency on board, but do not have the cash on hand to purchase it, can you charge it to your Seapass card, and if so, is there a fee to do so (other than the exchange rate)? Thanks.

While we havent done this ourselves I believe that the answer is that you cannot withdraw OBC for this. You would need to get cash from the ATM (6$ fee) and then exchange the USD for the local currency, and the exchange rates on board are generally terrible. This would be a very expensive way to get local currency.

Exchange rates on the ship are not good. We generally take a small amount of the currency we will need and then use a ATM in port if we need extra.
