beachcomber1212 Posted October 18, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 18, 2017 Hi, Our cruise ship will be arriving at Copenhagen Ocean quay on a Sunday at 8:00 am and the flight we want to book for Canada is at 12:30 pm. I wondering if there is enough time. How long does it take to disembark? Are there plenty of taxis at that terminal and how far is the airport? How much would the taxi cost? Thank you for your help. hallasm Posted October 18, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 18, 2017 When I have arrived at Ocean quay there have been plenty of taxi’s however I have seen post stating that there were only few taxi’s. Time to airport on a Sunday morning should be no more than 40 minutes and price round DKK 300. Flying to Canada you should be at the airport no later than 10:30. Disembarkation will depend on the cruise line. No immigration or customs when you disembark. I have usually been off the ship within an hour. I’ll consider a 12:30 departure to be doable. romney68 Posted October 20, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 20, 2017 We went straight to the airport from a cruise a few years ago on a Sunday morning and got there in plenty of time. You should be good, especially if you self-disembark Sent from my iPad using Forums
Rare Keith1010 Posted October 21, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 21, 2017 A 12:30 PM flight will be fine. Keith
Rare cruisequeen4ever Posted November 10, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 10, 2017 Princess is allowing 9:30 AM flights with an arrival time into port of around 6:00 AM, so I’d think your option would be fine based on your arrival time. ljandgb Posted November 10, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 10, 2017 You should be fine. In fact, it seemed that that many airlines didn't have permanent counters at the airport there, so getting there too early leaves you with nothing to do. You can't check in until your airline's counter opens anyways. We had the same timetable and had plenty of time to stand around wondering which counter would be ours. :)
