How to Get Extra Room key for friend sailing in another cabin?

We are sailing in a cabin with a large balcony. We have a friend sailing in an OceanView cabin on another floor. We would like for him to be able to access our cabin to sit on the balcony even if we are onshore. Do you know if guest services is able to provide an extra card to our cabin? Or can they tie his sea-pass card to allow it to open our cabin?

They should be able to get him a key to your quarters and make sure to request that it is not tied to your SeaPass account.

They will issue a SeaPass card that is programmed as a stateroom key only with no ties to the stateroom account for purchases. This is done all the time. It essentially is an extra key and more than one can be requested if needed, and for each stateroom desired.

Just go to guest services, they will be happy to give you an extra card. We do it all the time when traveling with friends.
