mistyinca Posted November 22, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 22, 2017 So an excursion sale has happened. Can we cancel and rebook? Anyone ever done that? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Shaded Lady Posted November 22, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 22, 2017 Not personally but I've read of other people who have... (I'm assuming you're talking about Carnival excursions?) Could you book the sale-priced excursions first then cancel the more expensive ones, to make sure you get the ones you want? In other words, the reverse of what you were planning? I'm not sure if that's possible...
mistyinca Posted November 22, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted November 22, 2017 They’d be the same excursions and I don’t think you can double book them. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
YourCruiseGurl Posted November 22, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 22, 2017 Try calling to see if they would honor the lower price.
Tiger0613 Posted November 22, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 22, 2017 It will work if you choose a different time slot(if there is one). It wouldn't let me book three out of the four time slots for my excursion. I had already booked the first one and the other two slots overlapped with the first slot. To get the discount on the time slot I originally booked, I would have to cancel and then rebook. I wasn't willing to risk losing my time slot. mistyinca Posted November 22, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted November 22, 2017 Do you know how long you have to wait between canceling and rebooking?

I'm not sure if it would work in this situation. Sent from my iPad using Forums
luv2cruise777l Posted November 22, 2017 #8 Share Posted November 22, 2017 Do you know how long you have to wait between canceling and rebooking? I canceled mine and rebooked right away to use the 10% promo code.

seabum Posted November 23, 2017 #12 Share Posted November 23, 2017 Whats the discount / sale ? (JH-FB offer ?) I already received 20% off (now expired bundle offer) - do you think I can beat that ? Thanks a bunch for sharing
millacon Posted November 23, 2017 #13 Share Posted November 23, 2017 The discount is for 10% through JH on FB. The code is SHOR10 but with your 20% discount it isn't good enough to change.
seabum Posted November 23, 2017 #14 Share Posted November 23, 2017 Thanks - I was thinking that might be it - but never hurts to ask. Happy Thanksgiving everyone -
ABQrobin Posted November 23, 2017 #15 Share Posted November 23, 2017 Be careful doing this...... I checked my excursions and the price has gone UP on one of them. So canceling and rebooking with discount code would give me the same price I paid 3 months ago.

LindaKE Posted November 24, 2017 #18 Share Posted November 24, 2017 I just tried to cancel and rebook an excursion, but even though I put in SHOR10, the new price was the same as my original price.

Not sure if you are replying to the correct thread? Nothing dishonest about cancelling and rebooking.
Retired_to_Cruise Posted November 24, 2017 #23 Share Posted November 24, 2017 Not sure if you are replying to the correct thread? Nothing dishonest about cancelling and rebooking. Sorry, but there is. The offer from John Heald, when it was first given, says that it is for new excursion orders. This posting started with the question "Cancel and Rebook excursions", and has progressed from there. It is just one more extension of the mentality of how can I pull one over on Carnival or any other entity that I can get something from.

I called Carnival today to see if they'd honor the price for excursions I'd already booked. I was told by Doug in the Fun Shops/Online shopping department to cancel my excursions and rebook them with the discount code. It can't be wrong if a Carnival employee instructes you to do it. Before you ask, I didn't. :)
