I just submitted my final review for our 5 day November 21st Cabo San Lucas Cruise on Emerald.

Let me know your thoughts! Thanks!

A quick review: We chose this cruise due to convenience and the fact that we like to get away for the long holiday weekend. Cabo San Lucas is not our favorite destination, but we typically cruise for the experience, not the destination. We also upgraded to CLUB CLASS, and for this particular cruise, it was WELL WORTH the extra money!

Apparently we had over 3500 people on the ship including over 700 children! I knew it would be a "family cruise" given the travel dates, but did not expect quite that impact.

Luckily, Club Class saved us from what would have been a fairly intolerable experience.

As a for instance, we wanted to do Pizza for lunch one day. The line was about 25 deep and all slices were gone entailing a wait which I would imagine of about 30 minutes. With all of the commotion of the pool experience on a sea day. I looked at my wife, said let's head down for Club Class lunch and all of a sudden we were in paradise.

Club Class details: Embarkation was simple, platinum lounge for disembarkation was great. Service for our table for 2 was quick, precise and awesome. The Chef made a special dish every meal, all of which were excellent. We ate all lunches and dinners there. Breakfast was either room service or buffet. The staff in club Class on this cruise was EXCELLENT.

Other points: Mini-Suite location was great right off the Midship elevator. Casino was fun. Bingo was crowded and thus hard if not impossible to win. Bingo could use some free giveaways that most other limes do, consolation prizes, raffle tickets that sort of thing. Library was well stocked and rarely visited as the books were quite available. Most books were a bit dated however. Our Cabin Steward was amazing!

All in all, we got the relaxation we desired, mainly due to Club Class. Hats are off for the Emerald Princess Club Class Team!

Over 3500 pax and 700 kids on board -:eek::eek::eek:

We were on a r/t to AK out of Seattle the first week of August and there were over 2000 first timers aboard and hundreds of rugrats. There were only 53 elite aboard so we were invited to the most traveled cocktail party. That won't happen again for a long time. We were thankful for having TD. Thanks for the review.

Glad you had a great Club Class experience.

Was Razvan the manager of Club Class?

We had him as manager ealier in the year in New Zealand on the Emerald and he made the experience.

I think so. The Chef was from Romania, very suave, debonair and personable and I think that was his name.

Thats Razvan. We sailed in early November - that man was amazing and truly made club class the experience it was!

Confirmed. Razvan was his name. Came and greeted every table with a smile. We had Lobster Pomodoro the last night...it was remarkable! He (and his staff) made the whole experience memorable. We were not the only ones impressed. I heard the accolades from our fellow diners as well.

Thank you for your review. We're in Club Class for our Dec 23 cruise (another one packed with kids, no doubt) and have really been looking forward to it. Haven't seen a lot of reviews, yet, so was especially glad to see yours.

You will be impressed. My wife usually doesn't like too much sit down dining. We like fast and easy. But on this cruise, practically every meal was in Club Class. Skip the buffet altogether and just do the club class every meal. You will be impressed, especially with the current Emerald staff. Bon Voyage!
