Sitting in O’Sheehan’s eating breakfast in San Juan after an awesome 11 day cruise. We took advantage of purchasing 4 cruisenext certificates which we used 2 per balcony stateroom on the Bliss December 2018. Anyone have any questions?

Glad you had an awesome vacation. We are leaving on the Dawn Jan 6th out of PR. Did you stay at a hotel prior to boarding, if so which one? Did you have any issues in San Juan?

We did an AirBNB because of the hotel situation. We have been to San Juan several times and everything is pretty much back to normal. You will see some damage but everything is open!

No dailies and I will say I felt like there was not a lot of activities. But still had a great time! We were in a obstructed Oceanview on deck 8 and loved it. No spa!

Welcome back... Cruising an 11 day Southern on Dawn Feb 7. It was modified from an Eastern due to storm damage. But. My question is... Do you or anyone else reading know if all the O'Sheehans menus are identical fleet wide? Thank you!

Thanks. How was the weather? We are doing to the Southern Caribbean so hopefully the weather will be warm.

Did the ship feel crowded? Lots of kids?

What kind of cabin did you have? We are in a family suite with balcony sailing on Jan 17th. Was wondering if the noise from the pool was noticeable? They are on the same deck.

Also, did you do the Thermal Spa? If so, how was it?

We had a suite on 12 and did not notice any pool noise. Very convenient location!

just butting in here: unless the spa has been changed with renovations it sucks. Sorry, but that is how we felt. We were on the Dawn about 4 years ago I think it was, maybe 3.

Good to know...our suite is also on 12. I like that it is on the pool deck and convenient to so many venues. Was just a little worried about the late night noise if there were any events going on at the pool.

I am usually in the casino late but my husband is usually in the cabin reading or on the internet.

I am hoping the renovations helped it....loved the spa on the Pearl. With 11 days, 5 of them sea days, it will be nice to have a quiet place to soak, read, rejuvenate etc...

I called today to enquire as I saw the El Dorado fitness ctr just above the spa and wondered if they were one and the same. They explained to me that the fitness center has machines, treadmills etc gratis, and the thermal spa is available for $199 for the 10 days.

So, you can use two Cruisenext certificates per cabin? Didn't know that. Any special advantages to that, other than the OBC you get while onboard? We haven't used any in a while, but remember that they counted as the cruise deposit when you used them to book a cruise.

Yes, for a balcony and up you can use 2. We paid $500 and got $1000 worth of deposits.

I was told if you book at least six months out, you can use two certificates.

What were your favorite restaurants and foods?

We were on the same cruise. Great weather all week. Good payouts on the slots. Play the ones near the tables up front. Those seemed to hit really well. Cagney ribeye was awesome. Moderno was really good too. If you have a suite, don't miss the burger at Cagneys for lunch. The acrobat show and the elements show we both incredible. The Dawn looked really good. Nice updates. The only complaint I had was way too much Latino rap music at the parties. Don't miss the crepes at the buffet...made fresh and they are soooo good. Banana, Nutella, and white chocolate...yum!

The Pitons catamaran was great. Good music, nice beach stop...the locals will try to sell some "stuff". Just say no!! Have fun

Do you have Dailies? What did you do in port?

We did the atv tour in Bonaire..lots of fun, catamaran in st. Lucia...really good. Snorkel in Aruba ..fun but the music was annoying and they had to use two boats so my group was split up. Botanical gardens in Guadeloupe was really nice. The Range Rover tour in Granada..the first half was slow but once in the rain forest it was amazing...we even saw monkeys! We did a private power snorkel in Antigua ..favorite tour ..we snorkeled the pillars of Hercules..saw sea turtles and a huge sting ray, tons of fish and an eel. The rock formations were awesome and really good shells on the beach ..huge conch shells too.

the Jewel class ships and ones even newer have great spas. I too, hope things have improved on the Dawn as far as the spa goes. ;)

I once had a DOS on deck 12, and did not notice any noise. I loved that it was so close to the pool, because we did not have a balcony.
