Starboard or Port Side

Going north land will mostly be on starboard side, but so far off you wont see much, and you will go through passages with land both sides. When you are in Glacier Bay you will want to be out and about on the ship seeing it from different places. Depending on time of year, it could be too cold to sit out on the balcony. We did Alaska with an inside cabin and were glad we had not spent money on a view or balcony.

As usual CruiserBruce has it right.

Having sailed Alaska many times we place emphasis on where on the deck we are located but not which side we are on and we find that we enjoy special views from the open deck outside the ship or from public areas with panoramic windows.

When you are on the open deck you can quickly move to side to side and forward and back.
