SausPud Posted January 2, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 2, 2018 None of the new ships gets Dreamworks until they end up stateside, due to the licensing agreement they have with Dreamworks.
Ken at the beach Posted January 2, 2018 #9 Share Posted January 2, 2018 None of the new ships gets Dreamworks until they end up stateside, due to the licensing agreement they have with Dreamworks. That may be true however Symphony won’t have DreamWorks once she’s stateside either.
CRUISEFAN0001 Posted January 2, 2018 #10 Share Posted January 2, 2018 Contracts for many things all have variables, terminations, and contingencies. With several ships having the DreamWorks characters aboard, they have quite a few already. In Symphony's case, perhaps they're going in a different direction or have something else planned. It's not that big a deal to most folks.

Ocean Boy Posted January 2, 2018 #13 Share Posted January 2, 2018 I see the word 'convenience fee' coming up in the announcement ;) Every time I encounter a convenience fee It is usually for the convenience and benefit of the company implementing it. Nope, Harmony had Dreamworks characters onboard for the Med cruises in 2016. steamboats
NateUpNorth Posted January 2, 2018 #15 Share Posted January 2, 2018 Not if it keeps the rug rats off the ship! Been to a few of these parades..... tough for the kids to see, what with all the adults crowding the ropes/front areas that are set up.
LuCruise Posted January 2, 2018 #16 Share Posted January 2, 2018 Seems like people either love them or hate them. I'm disappointed as my kids loved them on Allure (and I found it fun too to spot a DreamWorks character). The additional aqua and ice show were a bonus too. So it's too bad. It won't cause us to cancel our booking though as there is tons of other stuff on Symphony. I have to say I am surprised as the other 3 Oasis ships, all of family geared ships have them. Wonder if it's a contract thing or if Royal just wanted a different option for an Oasis ship for those that are on the 'I hate them' side of the fence? depplep Posted January 2, 2018 #25 Share Posted January 2, 2018 Good. We couldn't even have a civilized breakfast in the MDR on Oasis due to the Dreamworks nonsense going on on top of us. If I want Disney, I'll go on a Disney cruise.
