Prtypixels Posted January 6, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2018 My boys will be 6 and 10 at time of sailing. Anyone have any reviews or experiences with RC Freedom of Seas kids club? Lots of activities?

Rare Keith1010 Posted January 6, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 6, 2018 I too would post this on the RCI Cruise Line Board and any other questions that are specific to RCI. Keith
cb at sea Posted January 6, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 6, 2018 Ages 6 and 10 are the perfect ages for the kids to enjoy the clubs! They will have a blast. They will not be in the same age groups, however, but they will see each other occasionally while in the clubs....and of course, they'll be together when you're doing family things! leaveitallbehind Posted January 6, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 6, 2018 (edited) Prtypixels I can provide an answer here. The RCI kids clubs are very good and are grouped by appropriate ages. They are staffed by individuals with specific training in child development and related fields and are thoroughly background checked prior to being hired on board. The activities are diverse and also age appropriate and the kids - at least ours when the were young - always enjoy the activities. The facilities are secure and no passengers other than parents are permitted at any of the facilities. The kids wear colored ID bands the entire cruise and while in the clubs are continuously supervised. They also would be accompanied by the staff in any emergency directly to the lifeboat stations to meet the parents. Our experience with our children when younger was always very positive both for us and our kids. Your children will be fine - just make sure they attend the first session to meet the others and join in the activities early. Prtypixels Posted January 6, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted January 6, 2018 Thank you! Will there be a meeting place and time on the cruiseletter so kids can do a tour and sign up the first day? leaveitallbehind Posted January 6, 2018 #7 Share Posted January 6, 2018 Thank you! Will there be a meeting place and time on the cruiseletter so kids can do a tour and sign up the first day? Yes. It's been a number of years since our kids were of the ages to join but as I recall there are club representatives around as you board, and if you don't see them just go to guest services and they can assist. These will be the same representatives that will provide the colored wrist bands for your kids. The Cruise Compass will also have information published and that will be in your stateroom when you can access it a 1:00. Enjoy your cruise - Freedom is a great ship and I'm sure you and your kids will enjoy yourselves!
