That set up has been in place for both DL and CL since the drink voucher program first came out. Now some ships are allowing you to use your drink vouchers in the MDR...but not all ships.

When MDR wont accept the vouchers after leaving the DL you can pop into the nearest bar and use your vouchers to get drinks to take into dinner.

You can always “buy” a drink in the MDR if they don’t allow you to use you voucher. It’s worse than wearing shorts getting up from dinner and running out to get a drink.

I’ve witness intoxicated people trying to walk in with their drink in hand making a mess as they go.

You don't say! Is that breaking news!:rolleyes: The use of the drink vouchers was the suggestion.

Of course you can but if you can get 2 glasses of wine for free to take in rather than forking out $30 in the MDR i am only making people aware of the benefit.

I personally don't wear shorts after 6pm on the ship and would never leave a restaurant to get another drink and can't recall seeing anyone else doing that.

We often purchase a bottle of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc in the restaurant and always in a Speciality restaurant.

No just another album that has a scratch and keeps repeating the same thing over and over again. You have to hit the arm on your turntable and it usually makes you ignore that album in the future. I always hated back in the day when this happened.

BTW there are several albums in this basket that have this problem.

If I remember correctly one of those old worn-out albums that kept repeating itself was tilted "Smoking in the Casino".

Theres a few albums too who keep repeating criticism of others instead of posting information that would be helpful to others.

Hello,

Two quickies:

I think the VCL will become the DL overflow lounge by default whether RCI like it or not;

I was told that when the C&A levels were revised some years ago, the people responsible were supposed to have put either a new Platinum or Emerald level (whichever one did not already exist) between D+ and Pinnacle but with a 0 (zero) on the end of the current points ie either Platinum at 300 point or Emerald at 550 points. But they got it wrong. I was also told they were shown the exit.

Regards,

Cublet

FIrst time I've heard that, very interesting.

Bob,

I am surprised you had never heard of that, I remember it being speculated right after Emerald was introduced.

On the Liberty they have had the no overflow policy for at least 14 months that I know of.

Recently we were on for a series of B2B's. The first week there was a tip jar on the bar. I noticed the 2nd week that it was gone. I asked the bartender about it and he said that the HD told them to remove it. I had noticed that Sanjay had returned from vacation that week.

I remember Cruise Critic members having all kinds of speculation, but I had never heard RC management say they would not kick Diamonds out of the lounge.

Some folks with balance issues might appear intoxicated.

All the more reason to order drinks table side even it is not FREE. A birdie tells me people with balance issues should avoid alcohol.

I don't think I would leave the MDR to get a free drink. To each his own

The comment was to stop at a bar and grab a drink using a drink voucher on the way into the MDR. However I'm one of those that have left the MDR to get a couple voucher drinks and bring them back to our table. No baggie to me.
