Rare broberts Posted January 22, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2018 I often price out itineraries. Of course the only way to do accurately so is to partially complete the booking process then exit the booking. Royal Caribbean has taken to sending me emails to remind me that I have not completed a booking. I have found no way to stop these emails. And they repeat. I find it annoying. Not enough to for me to tell my email client that Royal Caribbean is a spammer, but I'm getting closer. Which got me to wondering what others think and do. Clarea Posted January 22, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2018 I never log in when doing a price check, and clear cookies after each browser use. No "complete booking" emails.
Rare broberts Posted January 22, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted January 22, 2018 I never log in when doing a price check, and clear cookies after each browser use. No "complete booking" emails. What about C&A discounts, offers?
peteukmcr Posted January 22, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 22, 2018 It's not just RCI, I've had 3 today from MSC because I was pricing up a Mediterranean cruise against a RCI Anthem sailing for 2019 yesterday. Then emails from Cunard when I was pricing up a transatlantic crossing to New York. Celebrity do it too, and then when investigating flights I get them from Virgin Atlantic. All saying things like 'don't miss out' 'book now before prices increase' Annoying, but I just press 'delete'
Clarea Posted January 22, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 22, 2018 What about C&A discounts, offers? I can figure the C&A balcony discount myself, and that usually makes the fare ineligible for other perks.

CarpeCerevisi Posted January 22, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 22, 2018 I got one today for a cruise I completed booking a couple of weeks ago. Sent from my iPad using Forums
lakelorain Posted January 22, 2018 #9 Share Posted January 22, 2018 Mine go to my DH and he doesn't even cruise. Also the excursion reminders and emails specific to a cruise I've booked, go to him and he isn't even on those cruises.
depplep Posted January 22, 2018 #10 Share Posted January 22, 2018 Doesn't bother me. I just delete it without even opening it up, like the rest of the useless emails that I get.
BrentD Posted January 23, 2018 #11 Share Posted January 23, 2018 I never log in when doing a price check, and clear cookies after each browser use. No "complete booking" emails. If you don't login but ALSO don't clear your cookies, the next time you go to the site it will have a link to complete your booking. This makes it easier to get back to the same sailing you were looking at before, so I actually like that for price comparison purposes. Not logging in is the key, though. It could be worse...they could be like Carnival and call you incessantly every time you visit their website and search for a cruise.

marjenn Posted January 23, 2018 #13 Share Posted January 23, 2018 I have gotten a couple of those emails but they don't annoy me as much as Carnival where I get a call either the day of or the next day after I log on to their website to see if I have any "Special Offers".
