Never noticed if it was am amazon pop up, but I was getting some 'congratulations you win a prize' type message on my android phone a few days ago. Had to just do 'back' and then try again. Was quite annoying. Didn't notice it the past 2 days.

I am getting that one also on my Samsung S8. And it just happened again as I was reading this thread.

Are you saying I didn’t really win an Amazon gift card?

Seriously, I guess I’ve been lucky. After I cleared my browsing data and added an ad blocker, I haven’t seemed to have this problem. On either of my two phones. Fingers crossed I didn’t just jinx myself!

It seems to only pops up when I am on CC. Is that accurate, or am I on CC too much? Sort of serious question - I am having an issue - is it mainly specific to CC or are many of you having the issue on other sites?

Thx

M

I have been having an issue ONLY ON CC where I get a verbal and written message saying my computer has been infected by a PORNOGRAPHIC VIRUS. This has happened about 4 times in recent weeks. I have to close out and then reenter CC. I didn't know CC was into porno. I certainly am not.

We found instructions on the internet for how to get rid of it on iPhone and iPad and the one thing that no one mentioned is to put it in airplane mode before going to safari and doing the delete and then back to safari and then take it out of airplane mode

It worked for me

Haven’t seen the pop up for days now

It was driving me crazy and it was a short drive! Lol

Choose not to have an Iphone but get the Amazon message frequently on my outlook email account. I also do not do business with Amazon but their message discourages me from doing business with them.

It has nothing to do with Amazon. The skunks are trying to get people to click, and know most people use/trust Amazon, so they dangle "Amazon" in hopes of catching a sucker.

It happens to me too. Only on Cruise Critic.

It's not really Amazon, it's a scam. There's no problem doing business with the real Amazon.

I'm on an iPad. Only happens on CC. Renders it unusable.
Had the same problem on two different iPads. I tried clearing the web data first but it came back so I dug a little deeper under Safari's Advanced settings and found that not all the web data was being deleted. I had to delete a half dozen files manually.
